Well I prefer cats as less attention is needed. The ones I’ve had in the past are pretty independent creatures and this works well for me. None of them were chosen they simply showed up here in need... So I’m really not an animal lover overall.

I prefer dogs. They are honest and truthful and obviously loyal.

Cats are natural liars, cannot be trusted, never follow through on their promises and are only loyal to themselves.

I am not going to weigh in on competing ridiculous conspiracy theories. I am only trying to be an agent provocateur to get a silly war going between dog people and cat people.

This neighborhood appears to favor cats over dogs. You see plenty of indoor/outdoor cats here and rare to see any dogs walked or out. A lot of neighbors leave food out for the cats as well so none go hungry. A couple even build large weather protection areas in the winter for cats who might not have owners.

Never heard of the breed. Looked it up. Reminded me of a Basenji. We do not have any pets. Down on the dairy farm, as a kid, we had a spayed female collie and a dozen barn cats. Nice memories of all.

Now you’ve done it. This will end up being like the Apple bashing threads. ;)

I LOVE cats! I love cats so much I can’t even tell you. Dogs are ok too although I agree with the FReeper who said they don’t like ill behaved dogs. That really is on the owner though not the dog.

I have two Norwegian Forest cats - absolutely beautiful! Norwegians are still somewhat rare in this country especially to find reputable breeders. They are so “dog-like” in the ways that they come when called and want to cuddle and be on your lap and near you most of the time. They show affection when they see you with strong tail vibrations. I don’t know if other cats do this but my Norwegian Forest cats have always. NFO’s also trill in addition to meow. It is just a trait. They do come from the Forests in Norway and they are capable of running down tree trunks head first.

I do not believe in free roaming cats! My cats are strictly indoors. They are happy and funny and actually hilarious the things they do. My male, Zander Grey is a 20# tabby and my female Invidia (means Envy in Italian, named by her breeder) is a tortie with white, 12# from slower lines and still growing. Norwegian Forests take 3 - 5 years to develop fully in weight and coat.

Everyone who meets these wonderful cats just can’t believe how friendly and sweet they are. We always had dogs when I was growing up and I like dogs too. There are many wonderful dogs and there isn’t a quiz that can nail any personality based on your preference of pet. My family still has dogs but I’m the cat person.

I wish I knew how to post photos here for you to see mine. They are outstanding, I love them. LOL. Anyway, if any of you are on Instagram you can follow my cats @HouseofMew

“Scientifically speaking”, George Harrison’s guitar style sounded like a cat, and therefore, he is the preferred Beatle.

I had one of these babies until one month ago I had to put him to sleep he had kitty cancer he was 18 years old had a wonderful life but he was the absolute BEST cat I have EVER HAD!! The only thing about the breed that is tough is they have a VERY THICK under fur that mats terribly my baby loved being brushed but in the sumner I gave him a Lyon cut so it would be cooler for him and help with fleas!! My baby was 24# he was a very big boy had massive paws and bone structure!! I miss him terribly!!!

Yes, mine have been mistaken for Bensenji's several times. I have two females and my daughter has their brother. I keep him during the day. This first picture is my 3-year old female. The second picture is all three. My girls have on the green collars. Feists come in all colors but a lot of them look like Besenji's. Feists have a sweeter nature though from what I hear and they are extremely smart. Vermin don't have a chance!

yes...one lady puts a large tarp enclosure up against her fence with an small opening they can come and go from... She fills large laundry baskets with straw along with a straw bed foundation...then hangs a lightbulb string inside..... The local Humane Society receives large donations of food from local stores which she gets for free to feed them. And the animal control folks checks every year for those who need fixing.
