A forever thread is getting long. Perhaps a weekly thread?
I guess they (ChiComs) figure they have plenty of ‘replacements’...for now. :(
Im confident that all will be handled well.
To Alabama Rep:
Ahhhh...because the high level areas are all ready full. Duh.
People need to keep up, yo.
From your link...regarding kids and this years flu...
.... This is the first time in 25 years where [influenza B] became so common so early, said Dr. Buddy Creech, an associate professor of pediatric infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Neither Schaffner nor Creech know why this years influenza timeline is so different.
Its leaving all influenza virologists puzzled, Schaffner said....
The article also suggests that it may be affecting kids whove NOT been vaccinated (flu shots), than those who have.

In an article that I read several days ago, it was noted that one of the B strains that had not been active for several years was active this year and not included in the vaccine.
A B variant that is similar was used and is thought it might help people infected to have milder cases. So that could be a contributing factor.
Re: pop-up hospitals

Clicked on several of the videos listed and saw they were produced by CGTN and Xinhua. Didnt waste time with any of them since they are the very definition of CCP propaganda.
CGTN and Xinhua are among the 5 state-run Chinese media outlets just designated as foreign missions by the Trump Administration.
thx for tip. hadn’t thought about using canning jars.
those are for food :)
“Does it really make sense to put people in Alabama when they are most likely primarily from the the west coast of the US?”
Probably - they’ll be afraid to break out, due to their prejudice against Southerns. Somewhat like the old Stalin Gulags. Some were in Siberia...they didn’t even have to bother chasing you, if you got loose, and most people there understood this.
Destroyed a metal shelf the first time around. ;-)
Eek.
I’ve always stored it in plastic, I knew metal was bad.
But the canning jars are probably the best idea around. Cheap, ‘small’ and don’t take up the space a big 5gal bucket does.
I think that’s the logic behind Angola prison in Louisiana.
“Got my retirement sitting in a very low risk 401K fund now. If I am wrong I can move it back this July. If I am right I can still smile.”
Mine has been low-risk for a long time now. My kids just pulled out completely, about 2 weeks ago. As world commerce comes to a halt, it’s hard to see why stocks will go up.
Obama FUBAR'ed my retirement in 2008 to the tune of $500k in loss inside of week. I've barely rebuilt that and now another hit. I turn 64 this year. No time to rebuild again.
Being reported that South Korea has elevated its CoronaVirus response to Red.
Supposedly what happened is that a number of asymptomatics were on the tarmac getting ready to go when their tests came back positive, so State consulted with HHS, or whatever the acronym now, and they called an audible that went against the instructions not to bring any confirmed infected home.
Yes the “chemheads” as we called them were based their along with us MPs. Additionally directly across the hwy was Anniston Army depot where the US was incinerators for destroying our chemical weapons was located. I was stationed at FM from 98 till 99 with the 788 th. I bet the chemical weapons facilities are still present and that’s why they are sending people all the buildings are negative pressure containment systems whole buildings in addition to all the storage rooms.
FAIRFIELD (CBS13) A judge has temporarily blocked the transfer of coronavirus patients from Travis Air Force Base to Costa Mesa.
The federal government planned to transfer as many as 70 coronavirus patients from the base to a facility in Costa Mesa this weekend, but city leaders filed an injunction to block the transfer in an effort to protect their community.
*********************************************************************************************
I did some additional digging and found that those 70 patients were part of the group that was evacuated from the cruise ship. They need to isolate the known cases somewhere else, or they become another petri dish like the ship.
An additional article regarding the self-quarantined:
Some 7000 Americans Voluntarily Self-Quarantine After Returning from China
https://coercioncode.com/2020/02/22/some-7000-americans-voluntarily-self-quarantine-after-returning-from-china/
We now know that the 14 day quarantine is likely insufficient for some. This article tells a little more about where some of those self quarantined are-huge number in California.
We will know in 3-4 weeks whether we are going to see an epidemic of COVID-19 in USA. Meanwhile the end of the first batch of people with 14 day quarantine is here. Pray that they are truly not ill.
That negative pressure will be important to try to contain it.
That’s the whole point the chemical weapons facilities are all BL4 rated as well. Plus there’s a 2000 plus degree chemical weapons rated incinerator on site for medical waste and bodies. Makes perfect sense to use exactly that facility to warehouse BL4 contaminated people.
