Yes the “chemheads” as we called them were based their along with us MPs. Additionally directly across the hwy was Anniston Army depot where the US was incinerators for destroying our chemical weapons was located. I was stationed at FM from 98 till 99 with the 788 th. I bet the chemical weapons facilities are still present and that’s why they are sending people all the buildings are negative pressure containment systems whole buildings in addition to all the storage rooms.

That negative pressure will be important to try to contain it.

I was a chemhead in the Army reserve unit before I switch to the Air Force active. I have a lot of experience in setting up Decom stations while in the Air Force so we are a little bit prepared here.
