The sole benefit of unbridled evil is its abandonment of the camouflage which kept it hidden from many people for so long. What once might have been downplayed or ignored has become shockingly real and menacing to greater numbers. With excuses removed, a less complacent electorate has some clear choices ahead.

LOL. And maybe I’m being too harsh on the police. They probably see this guy as a great source of overtime pay. Think of all the time they spend processing him. With a racket like that, I’m surprised they don’t arrest him 139 times every week!

Frankly I don’t see the problem. Bail is to ensure that the suspect shows up in court. after 139 arrests it is pretty clear that the authorities have no problem catching up with the guy.

This sort of thing, along with what we have been seeing in VA, is just a taste of what will happen to this country should the dems take control of both the House and the Senate, along with the presidency.

We may already passed the point of no return, but if the dems take control, that would be a certainty.

I don’t think we’d ever be able to recover.

I would like to learn how this is affecting NYC tourism.

Aw, too bad the ignorant short-sighted race-card-bearing IDIOTS making up the NYS Assembly didn't think of the effects of their insanity on one of the biggest money-generating things in NYC: tourism. The only thing they had in mind (particularly Carl Heastie, the Speaker) was to help out the poor black people who committed crimes. The poor things apparently are finding paying bail a major financial burden, so Big Carl decided to remove that burden, despite some feeble protests from other Assembly members. Hey Dummy, how about they don't commit the crime in the first place--then they wouldn't be facing the "financial burden" of paying bail, would they? Never mind the financial and physical burden their victims pay, no---only the black criminals matter to you. Does this sound like anything but sheer insanity? It certainly does to me.

NYS Senators opposed to this ridiculous bail reform law:

Draw your own conclusions.

Legal Aid Society: “Mr. Barry’s case underscores the need for economic stability and meaningful social services, not a need to roll back bail reform,” the society said in a statement. “Locking up Mr. Barry on unaffordable bail or worse, remanding without bail, ultimately does nothing to protect the public and fails entirely to address his actual needs.”

Charles Barry: “I’m famous! I take $200, $300 a day of your money, cr****r! You can’t stop me!” Barry shouted to reporters. “It’s a great thing. It’s a beautiful thing. They punk’ed people out for bull***t crimes.”

Bwahahahaha! Is Legal Aid Society run by Kindergarten teachers? So it’s all about hurting the criminals feelings and having the obstacles of consequences/punishment that upsets and frustrates the criminal from finding redemption. Yes, treat the criminal adult like an amoral insolent unruly child that has needs. We must coddle/understand the child, cultivate a purpose and give it stability... and soon it will realize/repent its evil ways, mature and grow out of its lawless lifestyle.

Charles Barry is bragging that the new bail-reform-law makes his criminal behavior easier, enabling him to be more aggressive in stealing and being lawless!

LOL! You can’t fix the altruistic stupidity of Dems that believe criminal behavior can be reformed without consequences or holding the criminal accountable for his/her choices. Dems are the apex of insanity!

On December 22, 1984, four African-Americans (Barry Allen, Troy Canty, Darrell Cabey, and James Ramseur) were shot and wounded by Bernhard Goetz on a New York City Subway.
Remember when?

New York City has been a leftist, totalitarian dump for decades. The voters in that place are getting what they wanted — in spades.

With the new "motor voter" legislation allowing illegal CRIMINAL invaders to step right up and get a NY drivers license, the forbidding of I.D. needed to vote, and other egregious violations of basic security to make sure only citizens vote, the dummocraps have been preparing their total takeover of NY for years. Of course, the snarky lying media have greatly facilitated this effort, as have pastors on the take, race baiting grifters like Al Sharpton, and the general apathy of NY voters. The last 2 mayoral elections, only about 21% of eligible voters bothered to vote. So basically 80% of NY voters could care less about who governs their state and city. That's a lot of apathy. I don't know if it's from plain stupidity or if it's a form of immaturity--unwilling to put in the work it takes for a functional democracy. Unwilling to research candidates or issues. Unwilling to read more than headlines. Unwilling to think. THOSE people really do deserve the scrapings of the bottom of the barrel, but the remainder of NYers have been helplessly pulled along by these irresponsible uncaring idiots, despite their research and voting conservative.

I got sick of it, plus the resultant decline in quality of life in NYC, and left.

These same "youths" had just mugged Mr. Goetz, surrounding him and demanding money.

Remember THAT?

She needs to comb through his record.

$200/day is about $73k/yr... not enough to live in NYC, especially with the taxes that he surely paid on it all.
