Despite her massive national media presence, it appears U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., isn’t taking reelection for granted.
At a Saturday kickoff event in her bid for a second term, the far-left freshman congresswoman told supporters she wanted to see voter turnout in New York’s 14th Congressional District increase by “four times” over her previous run in 2018.
No fewer than 12 Democrats have filed in the district to run against Ocasio-Cortez in the primary election on June 23, according to radio station WINS of New York City. In addition, at least three Republicans will vie for a chance to ultimately win the seat.
“Last election cycle, in the primary as we know, the turnout was quite low,” she told a small crowd in Corona, Queens. “This year, we want to multiply turnout by four times. That’s our goal. We want to secure 60,000 votes in the primary election. We need to start creating a turnout machine right now.”

If she has 12 rivals on the ballot, that means 11 straw candidates, and it will work for her. She won in a year with low voter turn out, that’s how she upset the incumbent. He got complacent.

If she loses, and especially if Trump wins re-election, she will spend 4 years giving paid speeches about victimhood and be set for life.
She may get her four times more, since a lot of folks sat out her initial election, but I do not see them voting for her!

The 12 that filed should put their heads together and realize that a unified front of 1 person running against the socialist bartender can defeat her.
It would be so nice to see her kicked to the curb - but she’d probably just get an MSNBC contract by the next day. Now she’s got to maintain her inflated lifestyle.
That's the whole point of having so many people running against her. It's all rigged. The vote against her will be hopelessly split, and she'll easily win.

One of the candidates IMO is strong. Michele Caruso Cabrera-she used to be on CNBC (Squawkbox) and is one smart cookie. She must actually be a threat because the MSM is burying this news.
