I met my future husband when he was a senior at a rival high school and I was a junior. We started dating in June of 1979 and got married in August of 1982. We’ve been married 38 years but I swear it sure doesn’t feel like it.

Somewhat different story. Senior year in college I became engaged to a young lady a couple of years behind me. We were to marry when she graduated. I went on active duty with the Air Force. Every evening I sat down at my typewriter and wrote her a long letter. Didn't work. She broke the engagement and entered a convent. What can I say? God wanted her for Himself. Transferred to another duty assignment. Met and married a young lady. After 30 years of a wonderful marriage, the tuberculosis she'd had as a child caught up with her. Her death left me devastated, with three children to finish raising. Once they were grown, I took an overseas job. Before going over, I signed up for an on-line dating site. Met some nice ladies, but nothing came of it. On my return from overseas, I checked in on the dating site. Found a message from a widow in California (I live in Ohio). Started a correspondence with her, exchanging emails daily. We fell in love (via email, yet). We've now been married for 19 years. Happy Valentine's Day, every one. Hope things work out for you as well as they have for me.
