How strange. I never realized that the Hawaiian state flag has a Union Jack on it.
When I first saw your post, my initial impression was that the NYT tweet was making some point about British influence in Hawaii.
Of course, that's not what the tweet is literally about, but the visual message is striking. The photo of people waving Union Jack-emblazoned Hawaiian flags juxtaposed with the headline, "Hawaii is a Paradise, but Whose?" almost feels as if someone is prompting us to dig deeper into the history of British influence in Hawaii.

President Xi wears face mask and has his temperature checked as he visits hospital treating coronavirus patients
The Chinese president wore a mask and surgical gown at a Beijing hospital today
He spoke via video link to medics in Wuhan, the city where the outbreak began
Xi promised that the government would take further action to contain the virus
There was a previous article about patients at the hospital spitting at medical personnel and at elevator buttons. I can’t understand the point they’re making.

Many were loaners from other agencies and have been sent back. Others left government work.

While the declassified version of the Grassley-Johnson letter did not identify the four footnotes at issue, a detailed analysis of the IG report suggests the redacted information concerned Christopher Steele’s sources and potentially the FBI’s purported predication for the launch of Crossfire Hurricane. These conclusions come from a deep-dive into the IG report read in tandem with the Grassley-Johnson letter.
