Robert Conrad, the athletic, two-fisted actor who starred as Secret Service agent James West and did his own spectacular stunts on the 1960s futuristic CBS Western The Wild Wild West, has died. He was 84.
"He lived a wonderfully long life and while the family is saddened by his passing, he will live forever in their hearts," family spokesman Jeff Ballard told People magazine. No other details of his death were immediately available.

Back when comedy was funny.

Another loss today. :-(
RIP.
I don’t know the comment went while I was at Google, but Robert Wagner is 89.
:-/
At one time he was thinking about running for the Senate. The rumor was he was warned off by threatening him with something from his past.
Wild Wild West with the anachronisms. Set during the Grant administration 1869-1877 where there were steam juggernauts, Edison talking machines and primitive moving pictures. Isn’t that what they call Steampunk nowadays?
Who was the midget actor who was West’s nemesis and always managed to escape at the end?
“Ring around the collar...Ring around the collar.”
“Pie in the face!”
How I miss Johnny!
Dang - Wild Wild West and Black Sheep Squadron were both just great.
The midget was Michael Dunn; he was discovered as apart of a singing act with the woman who appeared as his associate on the show. Conrad, btw, did all his own stunts on the show; had a 15 foot fall and a terrible concussion at the end of the show.
BTW: Am I the only one on this thread who remembers Hard Knox?
I double dare ya.
at about 1m33sec is Bruce Jenner before he
He is Michael Dunn & Phoebe Dorin singing “Sloop John B” on an episode of “TWWW.”
I had to look it up. Was part of his tv movie fare. I didn’t see a lot of those. Like with Gil Gerard, I thought he should’ve ended up a big movie star, back when they still had alpha males instead of these model-runway betas and other nothingburger nutters.
It was doubly funny when he would crack himself up.
“Loved Baa Baa Black Sheep, and those battery commercials, I dare you to knock this off!”
You beat me to it. Rest in Peace, Mr Conrad.
He played the killer on one of my favorite Columbo episodes....”Exercise in Futility”. Amazon Prime has Columbo again too.
