A New York state family is trying to get Guinness World Records recognition for their dog's unusual trick -- fitting six tennis balls in his mouth at once.
Cheri and Rob Molloy of Canandaigua said their daughter, Erin, brought golden retriever Finley home when he was just a puppy and she was a senior in college.
Finley always had an affinity for tennis balls, and they noticed when he was about two years old that he would try to fit as many into his mouth as he could.
The dog, now 6 years old, has developed the skill to the point where he regular fits six balls in his mouth at one time.
Finley now has his own Instagram account with followers from all over the world.
Erin Molloy said she is now trying to get Finley recognized by Guinness World Records. The current record for a dog fitting tennis balls in its mouth stands at five, but she said the organization has strict requirements for video and witness statements that she is working on gathering.
Of course it is a Golden Retriever.
Look at that mouth. Softest mouth in the world. Exactly what they are bred for.

One day I decided to see how many should could hold, and just kept putting them out for her, until her mouth was so full with socks protruding out both sides that I ran out of socks...IIRC, she had around 12 socks in her mouth! Heh, I used to give her a raw egg and she would parade proudly around with it in her mouth not crushing it, her tail swishing back and forth...:) Of course, I found out the downside of encouraging that when a big glass ornament fell off the Christmas tree and she galloped over and snatched it up in her mouth!
Horrified, with visions of a veterinarian visit dancing in my imagination, I slowly approached her speaking quietly and soothingly, trying not to excite her and managed to get that fragile thin-glass ornament out of her mouth, even as she sat there proudly, her tail swishing vigorously from side to side with evident pleasure in her eyes!

Pete has taken more balls to the chin than Yogi Berra.
Thats nothing. I saw a man in the pool hall one night put a cue ball in his mouth. It wouldnt fit so he took another ball and tapped it in past his teeth. His mouth was completely full of cue ball!
