I’ve seen haggis used and eaten on a couple of food shows. How can that be if it has been banned? I’m calling fake news.

My grandfather cleaned many a Florida pufferfish for one of his BIL’s who liked them. (granddad cleaned tens, if not over a hundred thousand fish in his life)
Never killed him, but they wouldn’t let us kids have any of it

When I was a child we visited my grandparents in Holland and I could not disguise my dislike of eating horse meat.
That was 40+ years ago and I still know how bad it tasted.

Traditional haggis Haggis may be the national dish of Scotland, but its traditional iteration is unwelcome in the United States.Hoot-man! Infamy!

It is in fact possible to buy the Fat Tuesday cake containing the plastic baby in the US. I guess the FDA is asleep at the switch when it comes to local bakeries.

There are a number of cheeses that are illegal in the US. Casu Marzu is a special type of Sardinian cheese. If the maggots are still alive, it’s good to eat. But if your Casu Marzu has dead maggots, it’s best not to eat it.

I see canned ackee in the local ethnic store all the time.
Marie Corelli (whose father wrote 'Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds', wrote a harrowing melodramatic novel called 'Wormwood', about the absinthe craze of her time.

My Father grew up eating and loving things like “hog’s head cheese”, raccoon, etc. We never had Haggis but I bet he would have loved it.

How come “impossible burgers” are not on the list? Made the horrible mistake and let one of my great granddaughters talk me into trying one... Spit out first mouthful... 3-hours to get the awful taste out of my mouth...
Reminded me of one of those 1950’s bad liberty experiences...

Poison. Poison. Tasty fish.
The craziest thing about fugo is that many Japanese think it is perfectly prepared when there is still enough neurotoxin to make your lips and tongue just a little numb.

I was watching Emaril Legasse answer questions on TV. Someone asked him about deveining shrimp. He surprised me by saying it was optional tho he did remove it himself.
That has to be the shrimp’s gut.
