What is it? A new football league owned by Vince McMahon, the WwE guy. I think Trump body slammed him once. Actually it's not exactly new, see it had one season way back in 2001 and went belly up, but it's back and this time, it's personal. 10 week season kicks off this weekend. Top two teams in each conference advance to the playoffs.

What are the teams and their head coaches?

Western Conference

Dallas Renegades, Bob Stoops
Houston Roughnecks, June Jones
Los Angeles Wildcats, Winston Moss
Seattle Dragons, Jim Zorn

Eastern Conference

DC Defenders, Pep Hamilton
New York Guardians, Kevin Gilbride

Any rules different compared to the NFL? Yes, they want kickoffs to be exciting again so rules for that are different. In addition there will be no PATs, instead they will attempt to convert from scrimmage, from the 2 yard line for one point, from the 5 yard line for two points, or from the 10 yard line for three points. Turnovers on conversion attempts can be returned for the same number of points. Double forward passes are allowed (if both are behind the line of scrimmage). Overtime will be a 2-point conversion shootout. The play clock will be 25 seconds.

No. It's Luis Perez, last seen in the huddle of the Birmingham Iron of the AAF. The kid who was a bowling prodigy, decided he wanted to give football a try, taught himself how to play by watching YouTube videos and went to a D-II school where he ended up winning that division's version of the Heisman Trophy.

A really cool story. He'll likely light-up the pro bowling circuit once he's done with second-tier football.

Thanks to all of y'all for your prayers and support. Your prayers helped a great deal but I am not out of the woods yet.

Yesterday the doc did the scoop on me and the cancer has spread, but not very far he says. He took out as much as he felt he could and I will soon be seeing an oncologist for I assume chemo and radiation.

So, I feel somewhat both kind'a upbeat and kind'a raw, too, as it is not all over yet. I say 'yet' because I do feel with all the prayers I have received, my chances are excellent in beating this!

To all of you, dear friends and distant family, I love each and every one--

I hope you aren't seeing my oncologist; he doesn't (don't say it Vike; fight the urge....... no; no; no; must fight.......).....gawd, no......KNOW HIS ASS FROM A HOLE IN THE GROUND!!!!!! HEE HEE HA HA HA HA HA........🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That would explain the 'rawness'. (Jeez, where to they get their gear from? The Harbor Freight catalog?) They clipped five polyps from my municipal plumbing the last time 'the gopher went on holiday', if you get my drift. My mom (age 80, going on the last Egyptian dynasty) just went through the surgical/chemo/nuke treatment herself. (Picture a curmudgeon and a full-blown geezer locking horns. It's like a toxic waste spill at Christmas.) I'm heading back in next week because my PSA and liver enzyme levels are spiking again and they need to establish a new baseline. Suck it up, eat well, but just live a little. We're all on the same carnival ride, just in different cars. That's why we're FReepers. If you feel like you feel need to shoot the shit, You know where the IM button is.
