Ah, the good old conflict of generation. Since ancient times every next generation was considered stupid and incapable. Most of the time the next generation achieved more than their predecessors.

People don’t hate generations. They hate individual people. The whole thing is a goofy media game.

It is true that millenials, x-ers are more successful than any other group in Russia but actually the generational thing I was talking about is universal. It will be evident after some time. Exceptions from the rule are possible though.

Socialists put people into groups so that they can pit them against each other for their hegelian dialectic idiocy.

You apparently are not aware of the current state of American education.

My response to “OK, Boomer” is always “OK, Doomer.”

No conceited young punk has yet tried that line on me. But when one does, I think I’ll answer with “OK Snowflake.”

Well, buying pre-ripped denim IS stupid, and phony too. It’s one thing to get rips in your jeans from actual use, like work, and quite another to spend extra money to buy them already torn up.

Maybe 25 years ago you could buy denims with a 00 shotgun blast already through them.

“People don’t hate generations”

Except when our debt bomb explodes and/or Social Security fails. The amount of hatred by the victims against Boomers and however-many successor generations will be, and should be, epic.

I must have missed that one, though I do remember jeans with fake mud on them recently. The shotgun ones are still phony, unless the buyer was wearing them when they were treated.

I remember in the 1960s kids wore blue jeans covered in all sorts of patches, but they still had no notion of wearing pants full of rips and tears. If blue jeans got too bad they’d just make the pants into cutoff shorts.

I’m 64 and I still do that.

Yeah, I never would’ve thought that the ripped jeans fad could have lasted as long as it has. The other one is the “literally” skin-tight jeans that look like hell to try to walk normally in.

Ripped denim? That’s been a thing every decade since the 60s. There is a picture of me in my HS yearbook circa 1976 with the most ripped denim you’ve ever seen. I’ve seen ripped denim at different times in stores ever since.

In Oklahoma, the correct response is “Okay, Sooner.”

“..My response to “OK, Boomer” is always “OK, Doomer.”...”

Mine is usually “Get back to me when you grow up enough to have a valid opinion, kid.”
