Local media report the pooch was thrown from the upper floors of a tower block at 4am and that it smashed the sunroof of a car before ending up on the ground...Reports state the sound of the dog hitting the car woke neighbours up as it sounded like a tyre explosion...Reports also state five cats were thrown to their deaths in the city of Shanghai, with locals believing they were pets as they had smooth and clean fur.

My wife asked me to go to Costco on a weekend awhile ago. When I came back I told her that I won’t be going back on a weekend until this virus thing is over. Parking lot was 95% full, and maybe 5% white people. It’s like shopping in a third-world country. Well - except for the shelves full of stuff. For now.
They don’t carry hand-sanitizer.
Two other stores I tried were all out!
I have a stash, and did find some more.
“The Chinese are among the most inhumane people on earth.”
Historically, Asians in general have been inhumane. Which possibly explains the wanton cruelty exhibited by the American Indian tribes (descended from Asian stock). Then again, every culture has its share of inhumanity, so no one culture in particular can lay claim to being superior in that regard.

This is an interesting news interview from Singapore. The government is handing out 4 surgical masks to every family. It is interesting that the reporter is talking about what one needs to prevent getting the virus, while the “expert” is talking about how the mask is to prevent someone ill from spreading the virus.
I’m not sure at the end that the point was put across. (N95 versus surgical mask).
I agree 200%. I still eat meat, but make every attempt to buy only Humanely raised, pastured, cage free, etc. Thank you for posting.
Really? I presume you also never utter a critical word about Islam, as we all know not all Muslims are terrorists. Take your P.C. manure elsewhere.
FYI, hand sanitizer is the preferred hand washing medium when there is no obvious contamination of the hands, but for two reasons: formal hand washing facilities may not be available at any given moment (used by others) and proper hand washing to be effective requires technique and time. (I don’t really care about the “downside” of using water and paper towels in an American hospital) so they promote hand sanitizer and they put it everywhere. The bottom line is that hands treated with sanitizer are better at fighting infection than hands that aren’t washed because people are in a hurry, or they don’t use the proper hand washing techniques under running water.
They have been teaching that for years in every American hospital.
Don’t know about greasy walls, and good hospitals have active programs to work towards and maintain quiet environments, but the fact remains that many patients have to be awakened at inopportune times for some testing to be performed.
That’s simply a fact. We have poor hosptitals in this country, no doubt.
And I am sure there are some halfway decent Chinese hospitals, but nobody is flocking to China to have medical procedures done there, even though we do have people from all over the world coming to our hospitals in America.
There is no equivalency, not even close. A tyrannical communist regime that brags about making care free to all of its 1.4 billion people delivers health care that would not cut it in the US.

The three dirtiest things in the average American’s day:
Gas pump nozzle handles.
Elevator buttons.
Shopping cart handles.
This story gets more and more heartbreaking. The suffering gets worse with this news.
#1 by far is public restrooms.
#2 People! coughing/sneezing without covering their mouth.
#3 Fast food joints.
Surprisingly studies have shown not all that bad compared to gas pump nozzles. Most public restrooms get cleaned once in a while.

I find it alarming how the Chinese government is reacting to this thing.
It tells me WAAAAYYYYY more than the stats they are putting out.

Everyone carry a tube off disinfectant wipes in your car at all times and be ready to wipe down those surfaces.
Also, I love these things. Really convenient and individually wrapped. You could use them on your phone, computer or even on those little elevator buttons. They’re about an inch and 1/2 by an inch and 1/2.
I agree %100 Metmom!
It’s probably me...i have to use public restrooms a lot...and at least half of them look worse than a condemned outhouse.
coughing/sneezing/spitting and/or..not covering mouth.. not washing hands.. then touching other things about covers most everything....like pump handles and shopping carts..
“Shopping cart handles”
The gal at Costco missunderstood me and uses her towel to wipe down my handles. I said no thank you! (The same one she has used for the 100 prior handles.)
Spend a minute with the sanitizer before I’ll touch it again.
Although I find out later the net says 4 minutes!!
There is a video out of China at the bottom of this story that is truly heartbreaking. You can hear the toll this is taking in that poor Chinese doctor’s voice.
(snip)”Another posted video showed a doctor in a state of mental collapse. Wearing a protective suit, he asked to speak to the president of the hospital on the phone, yelling: I am here working overtime, four shifts a day. I cannot even pause to take a moments rest. What have you done [to share our workload]? Remove those [corpses] on the floor. Remove them all!”

“China Issues Harsh Warning to Silence Social Media Postings on Wuhan Pneumonia”
well it’s stuff coming out from China Citizens and no doubt the people would love it if other nations came to their rescue....so much of this shouldn’t be seen as actually happening as I see it.
