Mike Bloombergs campaign for president spent a colossal amount of money in the final quarter of 2019 as he attempts to catch up to and surpass Democratic rivals.
Bloombergs campaign spent over $180 million at the end of 2019, according to a newly released Federal Election Commission filing. The massive expenditure amount went toward TV ads, field staff and his technology firm, Hawkfish. The record shows Bloombergs campaign spent over $11 million on the digital firm. The company has become the primary digital ad agency for Bloombergs operation.
He launched his bid for president at the end of November, several months after his fellow candidates joined the field, so his campaign was only active for about a month of the three-month period.
Beyond his campaigns enormous spending spree, the amount Bloomberg has given directly to his campaign shows why he will likely be able to stay in the race for as long as he wants, regardless of where he stands in the polls. The record shows Bloomberg contributed over $200 million to his campaign. His campaign had $11 million on hand going into the year 2020. The former New York mayor has sworn off asking for donations, even though that move automatically disqualifies him in making the debate stage.

could of held 180 rallies and given one lucky person attending 1 million dollars and been the most popular politician in history. But instead gave it to the media industrial complex.

CNBC reports that right after he founded a technology company named Hawkfish that was incorporated just this past spring, the firm began working on races in Virginia and Kentucky, where Democrats scored key victories in November:
For example, we keep seeing commercials on TV asking for donations to help elderly Jewish Holocaust survivors in Ukraine. A fraction of $180 million would have fed them and a lot of other poor people in addition.
Is Bloomberg a stalking horse for Hillary?
Dude’s pissing away money like it has an expiration date.
I’m beginning to wonder if Bloomberg is a real candidate. Is he doing this just so he can fund unlimited attack ads against Trump?
He should spend all that he has.
If any other CEO had the expenses of his company increase year over year by 51% they’d be fired instantly. So glad I’m long out of that stock.
Trying to buy the election. Won’t work - so feel free to waste your $ bloomie!
“All it did was move Trumps numbers up.”
Quiet, now, let him and his fellow elite rectums spend all of his money and drive Trump’s numbers up even more.
Given that I generally only go to free republic on the Internet its amazing the few times I went to real clear politics or a couple of other websites that sneaky little mini bikes ads we try to pop up but of course I would just add them after the minimum
WOW what a waste. He could have helped so many in need.
Can’t he afford a pair of elevator shoes?
PDJT will screw him to the wall with this waste.
Mini-Mike is a FASCIST. Spend those bucks, sucker.
Yep. I’ve seen his ridiculous ads on youtube and on billboards. They preach to the choir and change no one’s opinion.
Buying the Presidency should be expensive.
If Bloomie had given me one of those $180 million, I’da voted for him. Otherwise, he wasted a lot of money.
Here’s my question for Billionaire Bloomie:
Does he support taxpayer-funded Universal Basic Income?
Not a rhetorical question, and a simple Yes or No will suffice.
