You’d think these people would learn after disasters like Oceans 8 and the all female ghostbusters.... SMH
To: C19fan
Why do we continually need remakes of these movies? I guess it’s to make sure, in this case, that we have both a male and female representation of the lead. How stupid.
To: C19fan
female actress in a "titular" role? Now that would be something to see.
To: C19fan
How about some original ideas and no agenda movies.

Sure. All the other movies recast with women have been blockbusters, after all.
To: C19fan
Since the sin the character represents is wrath, perhaps a woman is fitting.

Willamina Wonka?
Not going to work.

Hey, its a prequel so it works.
Wille was originally female but she self identified as male and did a sex change
Feminists are happy cause they flipped another character to a woman and the LGTBQ crowd is in heaven because they control the agenda
The movie bombs at the box office but who cares, its only money

Remakes of classics and near classics usually just don’t work. True Grit is a notable exception, and that’s probably because the Cohen Bros. changed as little as possible, but still managed to make it seem fresh. A new Willy Wonka will probably do about as well as the Ghostbusters remake.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Hollywood reboots Iron Man in a couple of years, with a tranny Tony Stark. The studios make enough money on a few things to finance their social agenda. I doubt anyone suffered for the Ghostbusters fiasco.

A woman? Way too conservative. The new Willie Wonka needs to be transgender.
