Well, just got back from the doc and he says it is esophageal cancer and I will be facing one or more surgeries, chemo and whatknot--
our Heavenly Father, we come boldly into your presence and ask for Your provident strength, guidance and courage to help our FRiend Bender. we plead the Blood of Jesus as we come before You to ask for that Bender’s body be strengthened for the healing he will receive through his effective treatments and that, more importantly, his own faith and ours in his care givers and of course our faith in the Great Physician Himself—that He is fully capable of healing Bender and that His Presence with him will summon— is all that is required for this. Lord we ask that you Glorify Yourself to all and in all who are supporting Bender and his loved ones in his battle against this disease. We ask in Jesus Name and for Your Glory’s sake, Father. Amen.
You have my prayers.
I have had two people in my life diagnosed with esophageal cancer. One of them, when telling me of his diagnosis, was in my arms & crying on my shoulder (literally). I asked him if he was a person of faith, and he straightened right up & said yes, he was. He then told me “If I beat the cancer, I’ll have more time here on earth with my family and friends. If I don’t beat it, I’ll be in Heaven with the Saints. It’s a win-win for me.” I often think of what he said when faced with a life-threatening diagnosis. His faith gave him immense strength & comfort and has been an inspiration in my life as well.
Best wishes, prayers for you, and as others have suggested, get to MD Anderson if at all possible - two of my relatives have been there & received the finest of care. ~Q
My best wishes for your recovery.
I had a session at the other end of the body (prostate), considered less serious than yours. After all, ya gotta eat.
Good luck!
Bender2 and others on this thread. I just replied to another thread on esophageal cancer. I found I had it in mid-1993 thanks to a great internist who pushed to find what was causing the dizziness and anemia I was experiencing. At the time, I think the survival rate for that cancer was around 5%.
Bender, keep the faith. Think positive! You’ll be in my prayers.
I am so sorry to hear this. I’ll be praying for you. You are now on my list.
“Kind’a raw right not but I’ll calm down and thank all of you for your support and prayers. Looks like I’ll need them”
You don’t need my sympathy or prayers right now. You need to get off your ass, and change your food paradigm.
You have had, or will have, a PET scan. You abstain from eating for 12 hours. Technicians feed you radioactive glucose, then take radio-pictures showing which areas of your body consume the glucose. This should tell you something. Cancer requires sugars to survive.
Here’s the kicker. Humans DON’T require sugars to survive. Humans can survive on meat and fat. It’s not like this fact hasn’t been studied on a massive scale. Until about 1900 Eskimos ate virtually nothing besides this diet. A British researcher/explorer/medical doctor Documented this fact among thousands of Eskimos.
They exhibited no cases of cancer.
Heavenly and Merciful Father, I come before thee in accord with all here in prayer for our dear friend who has been diagnosed with Cancer. Almighty Father, I have seen your majesty and dominion over all things even when members of my own family have been proclaimed to be a lost cause and rose from their death beds and testified to your authority over all things.
Heavenly and merciful Father, we raise our voices in prayer, in accord one with the other on behalf of our friend and ask that you bring a healing upon them. Return them to full health and bring peace, no matter your decision or methods to them and their family. We lay this at your feet knowing that You and You alone are our creator and Father who loves His children.
By the Blood and Stripes of your only begotten Son Yeshua, Our Lord and Savior we pray
Amen
You concentrate on getting well, brother! You are in the prayers of many and the Good Lord is listening! God Bless!
Bendy, so sorry to hear about this!
Keep the faith and stay strong. It’s OK to feel bad about it sometimes, just don’t let it overcome your psyche.
Praying for you, and hope you keep praying too.
Prayers up for you.

Just before I saw your post I saw this one about zinc. I am one who believes coincidences often aare not random. The last 20 years has been coioncidences that seemed to be directed at me.
My sincerest wishes for a quick and complete recovery, along with my prayers, to and for you.
You might want to take a look at MANY sources of information regarding cancer in general, and esophogeal cancer in particular. One of my go-to sources for any disease is https://www.lifeextension.com/, specifically their protocols (for disease) section at: https://www.lifeextension.com/protocols
Here are some specific topics covered:

So sorry to hear that.
Could you tell us what possible high risk elements and warning signs you may have experienced prior to the diagnosis?
It would be helping others so we can be careful in our lives.
Best wishes to you.
AMEN. JESUS won the Victory! By His stripes we are healed.
Prayers up.
Prayers for you.
Stay strong.
AMEN. Agreeing in prayer.
Matthew 18:19-20 - Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
