A shrimp sale at a North Side home turned violent last week and two woman were hurt and charged with aggravated assault after the fracas, according to criminal complaints.
Nandine Bell, 46, of Pittsburgh, told police she was buying a bag of shrimp from Pamela Freshley, 55, of Swissvale at about 12:34 p.m. Jan. 15, at a home on Cedar Avenue in the citys East Allegheny neighborhood. The women started arguing. Freshley took the bag of shrimp back and walked away, according to criminal complaints.
Bell tried to get the shrimp back and Freshley pulled out a pair of scissors, according to the complaints.
Bell grabbed a stick and started hitting Freshley, Bell told police, according to the complaints. At some point Freshley cut Bell in the face with the scissors, police said in the complaints.
Freshley also spit on Bell and yelled about wanting to stab Bell in the eye, Bell told police, according to the complaints.
Freshley told police Bell came after her with a stick after the shrimp sale and that Freshley cut Bell in the face to get her to stop using the stick, and that she was defending herself when she stabbed Bell

Unstated in the article: Since the shrimp was being sold from a house most likely Party A bought it with food stamps, and was attempting to turn it into cash when a dispute occurred with Party B over whether it should be for 40 or 50 cents on the dollar.
Photo at link. Yeah.
People can be so shellfish these days.
I bet you say stuff like that just for the halibut. ;)
So, the moral here is, ‘Never bring a bag-o-shrimps to a scissors fight?’ ;)
In my experience, the only way the government gives you “free stuff” of substance is to put yourself in a bad position to be able to avail yourself of the free stuff.
A good example is all the tax credits you may calculate yourself through in your 1040 only to find out you’re not “poor enough” to take advantage of them, thank God.
If the governmemnt ever does forgive student loan debt, It will probably require your ability to jump through a lot of hoops you pray to God you CAN’T jump through, and even then, it will be tiny percentages, and only the crack addict living on the street for a minimum of X years will get full forgiveness.
IOW, it will be a situation where you pray to God you are not eligible, because of just how miserable you would have to be to be eligible.
The title could also mean two women fighting over a short guy.
I could kill for some shrimp right now, too.
Sometimes I just like to trawl for replies. Other times I'm more inclined to just clam up.
Nandine and Pamela GONE WILD!!! Yet 2 more ferals (likely on food stamps) display why they are probably in that circumstance in the first place. They “needs” some impulse-control training. I don’t think stabbing someone in the eye with scissors over a disputed bag of shrimp is good impulse control.
Didn’t even need to look.......
...and only the crack addict living on the street for a minimum of X years will get full forgiveness...
That’s just the beginning. Next they will offer different levels of forgiveness for different degrees.

They spelled shrimpf wrong ...
Though I guess if you are going to be selling shrimp Freshley is a great name for marketing purposes.
Yikes! I looked.....
Beginning to wonder if there was crack in that bag ‘o shrimp? Did the police look in the bag? Sheesh!
Why do I even bother looking...
Are you sure the one on the left is female?
Glad I’m paying for them to have shrimp. It’s been years since we could afford any.
my favorite fight of 2020 is the one in Ken’s Kebobs. Someone put it in slow motion. The punches thrown are hilarious..as it the dude calmly watching it all.

Because where else would you expect brawls in the street over seafood but Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, over 350 miles from the ocean?
(then again Star Kist Tuna is headquartered here for some strange reason)
