you're right. I shouldn't get into someone's head, so let me change it to "I have this strong feeling..."

We do not have any certainty why CJ did not read the questions.
Nor do we have any certainty that he knew either was the WB.
Nor do we know with any certainty who the WB even is.

The CJ was admitting something...the questions shouldn't be read as submitted. Why?

Rand's question: "My exact question was: Are you aware that House intelligence committee staffer Shawn Misko had a close relationship with Eric Ciaramella while at the National Security Council together and are you aware and how do you respond to reports that Ciaramella and Misko may have worked together to plot impeaching the President before there were formal house impeachment proceedings."

From the CJ: "The presiding officer declines to read the question as submitted."

I suppose the key question(s) taking the WB aspect totally out of the equation: what was wrong with either question?

If CJ didn't know who the WB, why not read the question? He's not the hook for anything as the word whistleblower is never mentioned
If he does know who the WB is, all the more reason to read the question.

There's a presumption that the CJ would have read the question if it was worded differently...I'm not being a mind-reader - taking it where it's led us.

In the little clip I saw, the President handed copies of his speech to the Vice President and the Speaker and then turned. I didn't notice him shaking the VP’s hand, either. Did I miss it?

I really don't expect fake niceties between President Trump and Pelosi at this point, anyway. I figure it is all out war at this point, and up until now the President has been pretty much keeping his powder dry.

Our President was extremely presidential tonight.
