When I called my insurance company last week to find out why they only covered a test done in December at 80% when I had already met the deductible and out-of-pocket Max, I was told several different things. First that it was going to go towards my 2020 out of pocket max. That line made no sense whatsoever. So she dropped it right away when I said so. Then she said it was going to go towards my 2019 out of pocket max. I said I already meant it on June 18th. Would you like to see my spreadsheet.

They have to train these people to lie. She couldn’t be that stupid and have worked there for any length of time.

When I called a few months previous to find out if Cologuard was covered, I was told that it probably was. That really didn’t sound too definitive to me so I called again. I was told that it was covered. But out of network. Interesting because my plan has no out-of-network coverage! The third time I actually got somebody that was awake during training. She said it is out of network and not covered for any insurance company yet. They’re thinking that the cologuard company would probably be working on that.

My new plan is that before any calls to BlueCross BlueShield, I might have to start drinking again.

Southern New Jersey is quite conservative, just as far northern (northwest) New Jersey. Those parts are just not as populated as the parts around NYCity.
