Thanks for sharing. Your family sounds a lot like my husbands..but with today's medical advantages they are living longer but not saying they don't still have problems.

The best advise is usually from someone who works in the medical profession and without a large family it would be harder for you. Does the family where you went for the procedure know anyone in the medical profession who's is really good at what you need done?

How many of the senators are lawyers? A large percentage iirc. Starr was addressing them not the general population They would expect no less of a presentation from him. Because most had been in law-school the type of scholarly presentation would not only be expected but easily followed. If he left any part out people as knowledgeable as Cruz would 𝙽𝚘𝚝𝚒𝚌𝚎 and point it out I don’t have dad copies of the federal code in front of me but listening to his recitation of case law he certainly hit enough of the relevant ones to make his point.

WOW that is a shame but I guess it keeps the costs down my mom is 90 she has Medicare and Tri Care retired military she has NEVER been turned down for ANYTHING and has NEVER had a charge for ANYTHING!! I just went on Medicare and my supplemental is through the grocery union a PPO haven’t had to use it since retiring so we will see!! My insurance through the union was EXCEPTIONAL I HATE unions however their medical coverage is beyond GREAT and was so cheap $7.00 a week for my PPO, this year however they raised the deductible from $500.00 a year to $1000.00 a year in the new contract!!!

Thank you. And this conversation wasnt even about winning, I was just asking for information. That particular problem isn’t with the doctor’s office, it’s with insurance. Like I told her, she spent all that time telling me her script over and over, and didnt listen to my question.
I dont handle this much stress well, have already had to take a pain pill. When I was younger, I had a lot more energy and a lot more money. I always felt in control. I was in my work and my personal life. Now, I don’t feel in control, and I cant help but think I’m viewed as an ignorant old woman.
Some people I know view me that way when I try to explain other things, too, like socialism, cultural issues.
Does anyone else here feel like that?

thanks....keeping things in perspective, white men born in 1900, at birth, had a life expectancy of 47. Women 49.
born in 1950? men = 67, women =72. I’ve lived longer than most everyone else in my family and I’m passed my shelf life...

NEW POLL: On virtually every big indicator Americans say things are better today than they were at the end of the Obama-Biden presidency.

Economy is better (+22 points), country is more secure (+18 points), the military is stronger (+15 points), streets are safer (+9 points)... pic.twitter.com/T5Ee7yUE80— Andrew Clark ❄️ (@AndrewHClark) January 27, 2020

Yes, I know exactly how you feel.

It happens to me every time I try to talk politics with my hubby.

You’d think I would learn! lol

Yes. I lived an hour and a half away from her nursing home. I woke up around 2AM, felt she was going to pass, got in the car and drove in the dark ruff hill road to get there. I was the only one there, obviously.
The thing is, I never liked my mother and she never liked me. She was abusive to me as a child, and was horrible to me as an adult. She loved my sister, but only remembered who I was at the end. The last words she said to me was, “can you stay a little bit longer?”. That was when I had finally gone to see her after my dear dad had passed, and only at the prodding of family.
I thought I had come to peace with the fact that she must have had mental problems to treat me like she did, and I paid for a lot of her care, as i felt it was my responsibility and i had the money and my sister had the means.
Sorry for the long post. I am glad i had that moment. But I have a hard time forgiving her, and I dont know what else to say.

Remember to give Trump +10 in any poll and then we know how well he is doing.

Yes, often. Its happening more often because most young people need to be spoon fed what to think. I go ahead and say what I want hoping later when they are in a situation they have no one to help them....maybe..just maybe a small snip it of what I said might click in.
