When Chief Justice Roberts presides over Senate impeachment trial, does the Supreme Court continue to hear and rule on pending cases?

That is why the next SCOTUS pick is so important. If Trump puts one more Conservative on teh court, Roberts is irrelevant and they lose their leverage. I’d almost be that if there was another Conservative added, Roberts would retire.

It would be interesting for say a retiree to research his case rulings since the adoption. I’ll bet he had a hand in some underhanded rulings we’ve never heard of.

Roberts didn’t adopt his children in Ireland. He adopted them in the US. No US law against adopting Irish children. Besides I suspect that any legal jeopardy has gone long past the statute date.
