Just as long as the results aren't the same.
Garoppolo was being groomed as the heir apparent to Brady from the day he was drafted, until Brady decided he wanted to play for a few more years. Belichick did Jimmy G a double solid, first realizing that he was getting old and stale sitting on the bench, then sending him to the 49ers instead of the Browns, who were also hot to trot for a real QB after the Johnny Party-boy fiasco.
No. He might put ketchup on something but that's about it.
LOL Brady screwed up their plans by winning Super Bowls, the nerve of that guy!
Niners. Chiefs.
I expect Niners will crush pack
AFC game will be close
- truth over power Marin county ca
I'm a Chiefs fan. My gorgeous coworker/work wife/cubicle mate is a psychotic 49rs fan.
This would split up our happy "home."
If it does come down to KC and SF I'll make a jersey bet with her.
Gotta go with the home teams...Titans Cinderella run has go to end...
Chiefs
49ers
Former Oilers over the Former Texans!
That would be something!
Of course if it ends up Packers/Chiefs, it’s a replay of Super Bowl I ... and we’ll see nothing but State Farm commercials during the game.
Everywhere we went they were on the dance floor playlist.........And Donna Summer...................
This Final Four for the NFL will be a fairly historic one with:
1961-Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans-1961 AFL champions, with first and only Super Bowl appearance in XXXIV against St. Louis Rams in 1999 season.
1969-Kansas City Chiefs-Last Super Bowl appearance and win was in Super Bowl IV against Minnesota (last AFL versus NFL Super Bowl).
1994-San Francisco 49ers-Last Super Bowl win was XXIX against San Diego Chargers and last appearance was in Super Bowl XLVII (2012 season) against Baltimore Ravens.
2010-Green Bay Packers-Last Super Bowl appearance and win was in Super Bowl XLV against Pittsburgh Steelers.
As mentioned by another Freeper, possible rematch of Super Bowl 1 with a Kansas City-Green Bay tilt.
Speaking of, I really would prefer the Texans get back the rights to the Oilers brand, I think most fans in Houston would love to see the “Oilers” back.
The Oilers’ uniform was one of the best in the NFL. The Texans’ uniform is meh.
I don’t understand how Cleveland could get The Browns back, but not Houston the Oilers.
Chiefs, Packers
I think a fair number of pro athletes, coaches, etc, still smoke cigs, but have to be very cautious about not being seen. Fines and such.
And in the NHL, Winnipeg got the Jets back, despite the original franchise moving to Arizona.
And the Charlotte NBA team got the Hornets name back after New Orleans switched to “Pelicans”
Niners and Titans.
Niners - Packers. The Niners absolutely demolished the Packers when they played in the regular season, 37 - 8. Has anything changed since then? The Niners defense has not. I don't see how Rodgers and the Pack can overcome that stifling D, and Garropolo and the offense won't have to do very much to stay ahead. So....Forty-Niners.
Titans - Chiefs. Is the Titans Cinderella run about to come to an end? How can anyone go against the Chiefs after the offensive display they put on last week, overcoming a twenty-four point defect in the blink of an eye. Derrick Henry is great, Tannehill certainly serviceable, but they are going to have to score a lot of points to keep up and I don't that happening. Chiefs.
Good luck to everyone!
