He might have a couple of good years left , but, if you are an NFL GM, building for the future, would you really want a 40 something quarterback?? Earning big bucks, absorbing salary cap space, when you are trying to build a team?

His location favors the Giants or the Jets.

If he gets signed at all.

He would have to be cheap as an over-40 quarterback. No matter his history. And no matter his current skills.

He’ll be losing 2 steps per week from here, on out. And one minor injury could put him out of the game forever.

He’s a fool if he ever suits up again.

What are some FReeper thoughts about the rumor that the Chargers might make a play for Brady? I know a guy that talks about it like it’s a done deal, but he also drinks too much and doesn’t seem to have any actual inside information. It looks like the words are coming out of his mouth, but there’s always a possibility that he’s talking out his ...

Reminds me somewhat of Joe Montana finishing his career out with Kansas City. With the right fit, Brady could have a couple good years left, but he won’t want to go just to be a mentor to a young QB. Any interest from NFC teams?

In addition, Hill said Brady and his family have already moved out of their Brookline, Massachusetts home and moved into their recently purchased home in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Greenwich is just across the state line from New York and New York City. I hear there are two metro NY teams that could use a good, if older, quarterback.

I don't put any stock in Brady clearing out of the stadium for the offseason or he and his super model wanting to hang in the Big Apple area.

The big questions are: 1. Brady is now a free agent. Will the Pats want him for another year or two? 2. How close is Bellichick to retiring? 3. Brady is close to his O.C., Josh McDaniels. Where will Josh be next year? 4. Brady's whole career was with the Pats. Would he really go to another team just to extend his career a year or two at most? 5. Brady seemed this year on the edge of age finally catching up with him. Time to hang up the cleats?

I wonder hoe many more rings Joe Montana could have had if he had been treated like an 8-year old girl by the refs as Tom has. Joe, Marino, Staubach, Bradshaw et al took absolutely brutal hits — most without a flag.

So who could blame him? He really deserves better than to live among a bunch of Massholes.

The way Brady knows offense, he’d possibly make a good defensive back coach.
