There is a Forrest Gump reference in here somewhere.
Lol...sure sounds like it.
Was he bitten by a dog-like animal or by a human trafficker?
Was Jesse Smellit involved?
Was the coyote wearing a MAGA hat?

Coyotes have attacked (and killed) small children elsewhere. I would think if they’re not afraid of people at all, attacking an adult human would be the next step even for non rabid ones.

When predatory animals like coyotes and bobcats that are naturally very wary of human attack humans most likely they are rabid. Also any wild animal that bites a human should be considered to have rabies and doctors should prescribe rabies shots as painful as they might be.
We live in the middle of a wildlife sanctuary in Texas hill country. We see coyotes all the time, along with skunks, hawks, foxes, wild boar, jack rabbits, etc. We can’t let our cats out in the fenced yard here. But Chicago?
It is lucky that he was in front of a hospital at the time. Unfortunately, it was the Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital
“Now playing ... Dances with Wolves, In the Hood”
