An amazing 'reverse microwave' that can chill a beer, bottle of wine or soft drink in seconds has been unveiled at CES 2020.
The Juno has been developed by California-based Matrix Industries, which specialises in body heat-powered smartwatches.
The 'chiller' uses a thermoelectric cooling engine that spins water around the beverage at high speed, rapidly decreasing the temperature of the can.
As the container itself is held still, the contents will be ready to drink as soon as it comes out of the machine and won't 'fizz up' and, according to Matrix.

My favorite beer is usually sold at room temp. This will come in handy when I must have one the moment I arrive home from the store.

It will make those spit-laden dregs in the bottom of the can drinkable!
Think of the benefit to the alcoholic can-pickers in San Fran!
I smell a Gavin Newsome subsidy coming!

Another reason to purchase an inverter for the car, especially if you commute in a metropolitan area.

Come to think of it, one minute is too long. Thanks to cell phones and the internet, my attention span for anything is 4 seconds tops. Please get to work on it.

Well, if they used chilled liquid alcohol it would be quicker.............. https://www.thoughtco.com/freezing-temperature-of-alcohol-606833 The freezing point of alcohol depends on the type of alcohol and the atmospheric pressure. The freezing point of ethanol, or ethyl alcohol (C2H6O), is around −114 C, −173 F, or 159 K. The freezing point of methanol, or methyl alcohol (CH3OH), is around −97.6 C, −143.7 F, or 175.6 K. You'll find slightly different values for the freezing points depending on the source because the freezing point is affected by atmospheric pressure.

We use to spin our hot canned beer on the ice in the cooler to chill it quick back in the 80s! Nothing new here!!

'Why would you keep drinks in the fridge and use that electricity when you're not using it. It is energy and space inefficient.' That makes sense for those people whose entire diet consists of beer.

Cool (pun intended). Future microwaves will have a heat or a cool button. :)
Next up, a replicator.... waiting patiently?
