If a guy walks into a shelter with half a pack of cigarettes, two joints, and a Coors tall boy, the first thing they do is take them away. What the hell? Is this a grown man or not? When he got back to base after a fire fight, did they confiscate his smokes and his beer?
It appears that the people running these things would rather see the vets out in the freezing cold than to see them smoke a joint and drink a beer before they turn in.
Oh for PFFT sake. These people need to find a life. They probably want to call it Alcee Hastings Highway.

The Lincoln Highway went from Times Square in New York City to Lincoln Park in San Francisco.
Lincoln Park is on the northwest corner of San Fran and (on clear days) has views of the Golden Gate Bridge, SF Bay, and the Pacific Ocean.
The Golden Gate Bridge was not built until almost 30 years after the park opened.
