American and Russian troops brawled in Tell Tamer in northeast Syria on Wednesday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Russian forces were present in the area at the same time as US troops and when the two parties met it devolved into a fist fight, "due to their presence in the same area," according to SOHR.
The American troops were in the area with an interpreter to get to know the opinions of local residents. According to SOHR, all the people described the US forces as traitors.
Tell Tamer was one of the cities that US troops withdrew from after a decision by President Donald Trump. Syrian troops entered the town after the Syrian government reached an agreement with the Kurdish-led forces controlling the region to deploy into the area to counter an attack by Turkey. Residents of the Christian community in Tell Tamer are threatened by Turkish-backed Syrian militias who caused many Christians to flee towns near the Turkish border after the US withdrawal.

At least both sides restrained themselves to fisticuffs!!
I know, as a military veteran, that there was ‘somebody’ that was grabbed by the shoulder, and told, “No!”
Kirk: Scotty, why did you fight the Klingons?
Scotty: They called the Enterprise a garbage scow!
Bring them all home. It was never our responsibility and never will be.
Tell the locals to protect their own country!
Camp a National Guard unit next to a unit from another state and sooner or later there will be a dust up. It’s human nature.
There must be a video somewhere.
You boys can’t fight in here, this is the War Room!
But...who won?
Probably went out for drinks together, afterwards.
We’re still waiting for the scoring from the East German judge to determine the winner.
Russian media reports it a bit differently.
The idea is that the Military Police was called by the civilians who said soldiers are causing mischief.
The way things are going in the areas recently captured by the Syrian military which is the case in this situations Russian MPs are working as MPs for the Syrian forces and also as a civilian police before the government establishes full control.
Upon arrival at scene they found US troops beating some locals and demanding intelligence from them.
They tried to apprehend them but they resisted and more American troops showed up. Both sides decided not to escalate, American side withdrew and it basically ended with a few bruises.
I’m suspicious of any organization with the words “human rights” in its title. Let alone “Syrian”.
Just did some quick research on the UK-based organization.
Suspicious....Oh, yeah.
If true, that's not very cricket and someone has some splainin' to do.
I have no idea what is truth. There are no US reports, only Russian citing ‘anonymous military source’, Arab and Israel the latter based on Russian and Arab reports.
Sounds like Klingons and the Enterprise crew. They had phasers. Couldn’t have been -that- serious.
