You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
A WELL ADJUSTED PERSON IS ONE WHO MAKES THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE WITHOUT GETTING NERVOUS. ALEXANDER HAMILTON
About 1 and 1/2 min. It was all in my head.
< 2 min. Ya gotta believe.
DEFG FGQ jumped out at me. From there,it was easy.
These ‘things’ are a snap when one correctly chooses the right place for T H E on the first go.......HA HA
Great ‘quoter’ BUT some will probably claim it wasn’t him.
BUT if proven he didn’t, he probably would have had he thought of it. <: <: <:
You’re right. Repeated three letter words in a puzzle, are going to be “THE” or “AND.” IF you’ve figured out “E” and “T” it’s usually off to the races.
That was perfect in terms of difficulty level: not so easy I breezed through it, not so difficult I gave up. LOL!
Got it.
Less than a minute. Figure out “THE” and off you go.
I look forward to this puzzle every day - thank you for doing these!
And all this before school? Oh, wait....You’re off this week.
Yes I am!!! Wheeee!!!

Two minutes.
Clever hint.
Weird, for me to get one this fast. Got some obvious words and the rest kept falling into place. Less than 2 min.
Caveat: I still cheat a bit by using Hal’s tool.
Hal’s is not cheating, esp if you don’t have a pen and paper...lol
Heck, no pen and paper, not even had coffee yet.
Literally 20 seconds today. I got the author’s last name and I couldn’t get the rest of out fast enough.
