Today’s Cryptogram

Challenging CG today from the Arkansas Gazette. Look it over before you start. There are a couple patterns that you should get right our of the gate, e.g. word #2. Go to your cell phone clock and click on your stop watch. Under 6 minutes is good, under 5 very good, under 4 you’re a seasoned veteran, under 3 you’re a pro and anything under 2 minutes is Super Star.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

Close to 3 minutes.

Guessed the 7th + 9th word and figured what the 5th word would be... and then said. “now what?” Decided which letter would be the “V” and then the “Q”. Had I looked at the author after placing the “V”, the CG would have been finished sooner.

I would assume that when one realizes the author etc it is safe to say that my version of it
