They squeezed the last milliliter of thala-sirens milk out of this franchize.

Okay.
Woke go, broke you will go, hmmmmm.... ~ Yoda
$375 million in 3 days. Somehow I don’t think anybody’s going broke on it.
Ive seen some photos of a baby Yoda.
Is Jar Jar Binks the mother?
Star Wars has been jumping the shark since Phantom Menace. Not worthy of my time.
Franchise fatigue my butt.
When you not only publicly insult the fans on a regular basis and then make a movie that not only insults the fans but destroys EVERYTHING the franchise stood for then you’ve decided you don’t WANT the audience that made your movies popular and successful to begin with. But of course that’s THEIR fault and not yours.
But boy golly for all that “franchise fatigue” they certainly are making a killing on Baby Yoda merchandise.
IMHO, Star Wars ended with “Return of the Jedi”. Everything since then has been cheap kiddie crap. Ads to sell toys and pajamas.
I went and saw the movie on Saturday with my buddy who is a die hard Disney trilogy fan. I’m a die hard Original fan.
It’s funny, I ended up enjoying the movie more than he did it seems.
The first 60% of it flat out sucked due to poor pacing and rapid scene changing. It is difficult to sit through and enjoy, but I did have some yummy popcorn.
The last part, and basically the scenes that were between Kylo and Rey, I enjoyed.
I never gave a crap about either of these two characters, but the actors did well with what limited material they had to work with here. Driver and Daisy are good actors. I enjoyed Ridley’s performance in this film well more than I enjoyed Natlaie Portman’s performance in the prequels.
I thought the scene with Adam Driver and *** **** was very good. This was my favorite scene of the movie by far.
Overall, I’d give this move a C or C-, the first part just is not redeemable, but the last part allowed me to be entertained and say that overall I had a good time, and I’m glad that I went.
Otherwise, the theater was totally full, noon showing, there was a very small smattering of applause at the end by some people in the theater.
My friend said he felt the movie was rushed, and generally was disappointed.
I wont be spending another nickel on anything Star Wars or Disney. They lost me years ago.
SJW Wars: The Rise of Soywalker.
I’m guessing Rian Johnson will never get to helm a Disney made movie again after the way he single handedly demolished their $4B franchise for the sake of his own vanity. They’ll scapegoat him because they’ve gone on record supporting the head of Lucasfilms (who decided Star Wars was her own personal platform to sweep away the patriarchy) way too many times to give her any blame.
The problem with these new movies is that, even before you get to the merits of the story, is that they are TOO LONG!
Two and a half hours is simply too much to sit thru without an intermission. At the last Star Wars movie I found myself asking silently “Is it over yet?”.
Snore
Saturday 11am show in Philadelphia was mostly empty. I do not believe the stories of doing at all well.
Pervert cuck sjw garbage.
Keep in mind that the mediocre box office figure is inflated, by Disney buying hundred of tickets to its own movie. They were caught doing this with Captain Marvel also.
BoxOfficeMojo shows a bad trend on their weekend estimates. Saturday gross is about half the Friday gross. Saturday SHOULD be higher. This indicates that word-of-mouth is not good.
