TRUMP WAS NOT IMPEACHED. HE WAS VOTED FOR IMPEACHMENT

Trying to get people to stop saying Johnson, Clinton, Trump were all impeached, is not something that will stick because most people aren't going to bother with definitions.

But impeachment means removal upon conviction.

Whereas voting to impeach is a form of indictment.

It is correct to say no American President has ever been impeached.

It's not splitting hairs, it's just showing respect and awareness of terms.

Trump as of today must answer to a vote of impeachment, a partisan, unjust, false vote of impeachment by criminal opponents who are using offensive lies in a process available to them to shield themselves from justice.

I am certain these agents of subversion have cemented in place the process of impeaching themselves. But first they will threaten via blackmail at least 20 GOP Senators to impeach the President. And when they lose, they will blame the GOP Senate for allowing Trump to rig the 2020 election thereby putting in peril their brand of 'democracy'.

For those trying to make sense of what's going on, the Democrat's vote for impeachment is a delay tactic. It brings the government legislative branch to a standstill. Nothing can move until the impeachment trial is dispensed with.

Yeah, he was impeached by a (D)eranged mob.

The instant the vote was in, I sent a big contribution to Donald J Trump for President, Inc. I hope that tens of thousands of others have done likewise. That’s my initial salvo, my initial message.

You are wrong. To impeach is to indict.

It brings the government legislative branch to a standstill. Nothing can move until the impeachment trial is dispensed with.

The progs have now stepped into the light with two meaningless “Articles,” no crime, no actual evidence and they are stuck.

If NP withholds the articles they will be a laughingstock. The entirety of the United States government standing there looking at NP with that "we're waiting" expression on their faces.

If she delivers the articles the progs will be obliterated by the process that follows.

Impeached means charged. Not removed.

No, the House votes to impeach (think of impeachment as the charges filed in a criminal case). The Senate then hears the case and votes to convict or acquit. In other words, the Senate acts like the court trial after the arrest and indictment.

President Trump has become the 3rd President to be impeached. That being said, this was all done on partisan lines and is clearly viewed as being nothing more than a political impeachment. Which is why most people are not the least bit interested.

It’s kind of like those old duels with the single shot pistols.

The Democrats have been threatening and threatening to shoot, and now they’ve taken their shot.

President Trump is still standing.

Oh oh.

No. Impeachment happens in the house. Removal happens after a trial in the Senate.

Based on your definition ,no President has been impeached.

Well you terminology posting is quite correct. The only TRUE impeachment would conclude with Conviction of Impeachment Articles, and the only sentence/outcome would be removal from office. All else is just “impeachment”.... from quite impeachable “sources”.

The game is afoot. The Trial is Dead on Arrival, the Senate will reject the Articles as UnConstitutional, and then the Democrats can try and pursue that decision in the Courts, where they are allowed to seek Judicial Relief (which btw they did not do in the House Inquiry over witnesses- because they knew they would lose. See how the Founders built that in?).

And the Supreme Court will not “award” an action because it cannot force the Senate to do... anything. Not Constitutionally anyway.

Nice post. Thanks.

Correct.

The senate determines if the charges are valid, and then determines what should be done about them, up to removal from office.

I’m not putting any hope in it. As written, it’s not going to stick.

But when friends, family, community say he was impeached, you can say a vote for impeachment was successful but he was not impeached. And you would be spot on.

Some will get it. Most will not.

When the Senate votes to dismiss or quit, he will not have been impeached. And he will win reelection in a blowout landslide.

Some will say “but he was impeached!” and we can say no, he was not impeached, he’s still there.

We will say Trump survived the Democrat’s attempt to overthrow him via impeachment based on weak, false, unsupported charges. And after his survival, the DOJ prosecuted the ringleaders behind the false impeachment attempt.

Yes, the whole government “waiting” on an alcoholic demented old whore from Baltimore. Can’t make this up. This is more dramatically down class from Benedict Arnold’s future wife, who was just a concubine, and was sleeping with Major Andre... Miss Peggy.

Nixon was not impeached. He resigned before any vote to impeach could happen.
