How do you milk an almond?
Vanity

Posted on 12/15/2019 5:02:05 AM PST by tired&retired

It's time for the Department of Agriculture to adopt strict rule as France has done on its products such as champagne.

Today's environment of calling any white juice "milk" or plant based products "meat" has gone too far. The line is getting blurred further as cells of cows and fish are being replicated in tanks and being sold as the "real" thing.

We need to protect our farmers.

I’ve seen chickens peck at a bleeding chicken till it was dead. My friend moved his chicken coup around. And planted his garden where the chicken coup was the year before. Huge vegetables from chicken $h!t fertilizer. In his garden he’d walk through picking tomato horn worms off the plants and tossing them into the coup. The worms never hit the ground before they were consumed

I don’t know how you milk an almond, but I do know how you milk a sheep.

Only milk I consume. Coconut milk. Allergic to most everything. Thanks to my first and last flu vaccine in 1999. Free flu shot at work. What a bargain! CIDP for 20 years.

How many babies does it take to make a bottle of baby oil?

I thought baby oil was used to quiet squeaky babies?

Developed lactose intolerance this year.

It really stinks...no cheese, milk, cream, ice cream etc. Have not had a pizza in months.

just glad I can eat butter.

Tried the almond milk and really disliked it. Am adjusting to soy milk but try to avoid having to use it. There is a very good cream substitute which I use for coffee so there is a bright side.

But I sure miss dairy products.

I suppose you’d do the same if it came in the original container? I’m guessing that wasn’t always true (Although it might have been quite a while since you’ve had it that way...)

consumers get country of origin info.

Congress has consistently failed to pass COOL (Country Of Origin Labeling) laws.

All those Chinese "campaign contributions" have really paid off...

We have raised poultry and livestock ourselves, And I know you are absolutely right. Sometimes they do, even though they are primarily seed eaters they will eat anything and everything even when you would rather they not.

So the question is how do they keep these “vegetarian raised” birds from doing this as a natural species trait? The statement is deceptive in a couple ways, starting with not having the ability to even guarantee that they are indeed vegetarian only. :)

Better. Blood sugar is now low enough, I don’t use blood to sweeten my coffee. :)

Always wondered that. Same with girl scout cookies.

There is an actual cheese called "Real c" cheese.

It's actually almost cheese, but not quite.

“It is odd that we’ll readily drink milk from an animal, but turn our nose up if someone placed a glass of human milk in front of you...”

Some people get upset if you drink from the container!
