Todays Cryptogram
A tricky little CG from today's Arkansas Gazette
CUD UZOUDKC TDPITG ANT I XILK CNZE ZK LNC PUIC UD ODCK WM ZC WQC PUIC UD WDVNXDK WM ZC. YNUL TQKHZL
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
HE WHO IS NOT FRIENDLY TOWARD A GOOD GUEST WILL NEVER HAVE ONE. CHINESE WISDOM
The first two words. Finally.
Yes, that’s how I approached today’s puzzle. 2 min.
Easy one, solve the four-letter word and Bob’s your uncle.
2 MINUTES.
Finally. Sheesh. The word with the apostrophe is not cant. Once I realized that, all fell into place.
The single letter word preceding it has to be an A. Therefore, the word will be a possessive. From there, I recalled the Reagan quote about horses, and was on my way.
