Todays Cryptogram
PL JPN VK ZNE UBVLZCDA ENJXBC X HNNC HMLKE JVDD ZLYLB PXYL NZL. RPVZLKL JVKCNW
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
A HAPPY PERSON IS NOT A PERSON IN A CERTAIN SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT RATHER A PERSON WITH A CERTAIN SET OF ATTITUDES. HUGH DOWNS
A couple of minutes. Just fumbled with the first four words, then if sort of fills itself in. ZLYLB is “always” useful if you have trouble.
When a cryptogram begins with a two letter word followed by a three letter word, and the first letter of the two letter word is the same as the second letter of the three letter word, it’s usually game on. In this case the next two words, words three and four, aren’t just obvious, they are almost inevitable.

Look for Homer to return with a BONUS puzzle in the next few days!
2 min, first two words.
This one stumped me. I had to use Hal, and even then it was a bit weird, until I figured out the first two words.
Yes, ZLYLB caught my attention.
I’ve found that when one is stumped, finding the most common letter, and assigning “E” to it usually helps get you started.
If I figure out the words with two consecutive letters that are the same, then the puzzle becomes clear. Took about five minutes.
one minute.
Guessed the one letter word as well as as the tenth which has double letters. This gave me enough info to super wild guess the author’s second name...and the rest is history.
