Today’s Cryptogram

Today’s Cryptogram

Y’L QYEEPXPHV, OHQ Y WOUP VS IP O COXXYSX VS IP VWOV COF. —RSWHHF CPYX

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Contraction and single-letter word make this one a breeze.

took four minutes. I’m in a fightin’ mood ha ha ha

Got the contraction, but, the word after the comma tricked me. I thought one should not put that word after a comma.

Compound sentence so the word following the comma is correct....

You’re right, after getting contraction and word after comma, I skated to the finish.

WOW!!!

Not ‘sure’ I know who author is but was finished by the time the sand in my hour glass had figured which way it was going to flow....<: <: <:

OH!!!
Looked up the author AND the quote definitely isn’t meant in the vein of how I read it....and the pic etal explains it ...

Another one that the ENTIRE quote/sentence has to be read to get the FULL meaning...

Now THAT is an excellent interpretation of the quote/author.

Trying to keep it light-hearted. The guy’s a freak, but he’s also a world-class competitor. And he’s probably had bra-and -panty tickle fights with Tara Lupinski. You can’t take that away from him.

After watching this guy for a while on TV I told my wife “Now there’s a _____ I could have a beer with!”
