I could use some assistance.i sold a car to a Honda dealership 5 yrs ago Last month I received a parking ticket violation for it. I submitted to the court a bill of sale to Honda and the title. The license plate was not mine The hearing officer still found me guilty Broward Florida The ticket is 91 dollars Any help would be appreciated
Something similar happened to me. I’m not good with paperwork. I called my old Ins broker. They have me a copy of the paper DMV gave me that showed I surrendered the plates to the car long b4 the ticket was written.
I know I did still hasnt helped yet
There is no rest of the story, that is it sorry
But there is an option for you to do it thru us mail on their site
Tell them you don’t have the money but they can have the car.
Funny

-—NOT-— funny.
Did you mail them in NYC? We have a mailbox-fishing problem here. I bring everything to the post office.
“Not mine”
You said that before. Whose tag was it? Why do you still have the title which was supposed to be transferred? Who owns the Honda? Does the tag registration match the Honda?
What did the judge tell you in response to your submittal?
Is the bill of sale on the dealer’s official document form?
I went to the court website all my info was there
You may have limited time to appeal.
What was their response?
Find the A-Team
if the ticket is a civil matter (which it probably is), it’s possible you could bring the matter to small claims court ...
OK. Good.
If all else fails, give the story to the New York Post.
Tag was not mine
The title honda had and they sent me a copy plus bill of sale
I traded the cr into honda nd purchased a new carin2014
The tg was never one of mine
No response from judge just ticket checked valid
Yes it is
Take off your shirt and demand a Klingon Blood Trial.
I just mailed an appeal to the 17 th district court and contacted the ag
I assume they used the VIN# to write the ticket since the plate # wasn't yours? If so, appeal it up the chain and/or go to the motor vehicle dept. and get a printout as to when/where the car was sold. This actually might be your best move considering this could unfortunately be the first of a flurry of notifications regarding your former car.
