STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Luke Logan missed a 35-yard extra point after Mississippi receiver Elijah Moore was penalized for celebrating a touchdown by crawling and pretending to urinate like a dog, and Mississippi State ended up with a 21-20 victory Thursday night in the 116th Egg Bowl.
Ole Miss (4-8, 2-6 Southeastern Conference) pulled within a point with 4 seconds remaining on Matt Corral's 2-yard pass to Moore, but Logan hooked the extra point after Moore cost the Rebels 15 yards.
"That's not who we are. We've been a disciplined team all year, and so just disappointed that happened," coach Matt Luke said. "That's not who he is. Elijah is a good kid, and he just got caught up in the moment."
Mississippi State (6-6, 3-5 Southeastern Conference) beat Ole Miss at home for the first since 2013.

Well the Ole Miss Admin types are sooooo happy that they got the rebel flags out of their fans’ hands. They are not worried about obscene behavior. They ought to just change their name to the Damn Yankees and get it over with.

Well, yes, that is exactly who he is or he would not have done it. He is a demented, knuckle-dragging idiot. Immense disrespect for the opposing teams and anyone watching the game.
The next time I get stopped for a speeding ticket, I think I will try the “that is not who I am” line and see how far it gets me.
That’s actually one of the things that turned me off from watching football decades ago.
Now, as a baseball fan, I was disgusted this past season when the Nationals, one of my favorite teams, started with the “ethnic” players dancing (twerking) in the dugout after homeruns. Ugh.
Just another tattooed African practicing for the big league. This is why the only football I watch is High school. At least these kids are playing high on heart and not high on their own egos.

The local coverage is interesting. Clearly the inmates are running the asylum.
Because some of them do not understand when enough is enough and this "disrespecting" thing leads to brawls which can then lead to riots.
I once watched a Texas A&M player sack an Oklahoma quarterback with under two minutes left in the game and he commenced into his jivin' stylin' gyratin' happy dance. One of the Oklahoma players came up and motioned to the scoreboard. A&M was trailing 63-7 at the time.

There was a funny clip of the Miami Hurricanes players dancing it up on the sideline during the game against FIU.
Only thing is, at that time they were trailing FIU (yes, FIU) 13-0, and they went on to lose the game, in arguably the worst loss in school history.

From my recollection, this behavior appeared to become popular with the University of Miami, especially under Jimmy Johnson.
