When the going gets tough, grape seed extract gets going: A University of Colorado Cancer Center study recently published in the journal Cancer Letters shows that the more advanced are colorectal cancer cells, the more GSE inhibits their growth and survival. On the other end of the disease spectrum, GSE leaves healthy cells alone entirely.
"We've known for quite a while that the bioactive compounds in grape seed extract selectively target many types of cancer cells. This study shows that many of the same mutations that allow colorectal cancer cells to metastasize and survive traditional therapies make them especially sensitive to treatment with GSE," says Molly Derry, doctoral candidate in the lab of Rajesh Agarwal, PhD, investigator at the CU Cancer Center and professor at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
"Finding a way to selectively target advanced colorectal cancer cells could have major clinical importance," Derry says.
The group performed their experiments on colorectal cancer cell lines representing various stages of the disease. Whereas it generally takes much more chemotherapy to kill a stage IV cancer cell than a stage II cancer cell, Derry saw that the reverse was true with grape seed extract.
"It required less than half the concentration of GSE to suppress cell growth and kill 50 percent of stage IV cells than it did to achieve similar results in the stage II cells," Derry says.
The group also discovered a likely mechanism of GSE's preferential targeting of advanced colorectal cancer cells: when cancer cells were treated with antioxidants the GSE induced cell death was reversed and so Derry and colleagues consider it likely that GSE targets colorectal cancer through inducing oxidative stress that leads to the programmed cell death known as apoptosis.

Very good. Keep up the good fight. God bless
So happy with your fight success. Keep up the good fight.
Very interesting. Thanks for posting!
Even my Dr., one of the top surgeons in the country was amazed. The healing was so fast they accused the nurse of bad wound measurements. But we took photos each time with the metal ruler laying on the wound.
Anesthesia does not work well on me. Twice I woke up during surgery, arms strapped to the boards and tubes still in place while on the operating table.
Immediately, when surgery was over I switched to IV Tylenol. I can’t take opiates as they are like taking speed. My mind races at high rates and extreme agitation that blocks all sleep and rest.
They cut me from groin to rib cage to remove my intestines and cut them apart as they were a solid mass of adhesions. It was difficult to determine intestine vs adhesion to cut them apart. The second operation was 8+ hours long as they had to wrap all my intestines in sepra film after they cut them apart.
I was walking, driving, and climbing stairs in 5 days. I can’t explain it except to have gratitude toward God.
The end result is that I’m like a walking MRI, as my consciousness is not restricted to my physical body. I feel and sense directly with my consciousness external to my physical body, especially when I pray or meditate.
Jesus and God are real and experiential. Death is more of a graduation, a new beginning than an end or termination. I can’t wait to fully experience Heaven again.
Beautiful words to hear from you.
Thank you.

I wonder if the pinger meant to mention Resveratrol, instead of Laetrile.
Resveratrol is from grape skins, such as used for the making of Red Wine. It is also found in peanuts and purple grape juice.
Grape Seed Extract is from the seeds or from whole grapes.
They each can address different issues. So if a person is thinking of using either as a part of their daily intake they should probably ask their physician about it.
Note: Not a doctor. LOL Just like reading...
Thanks for the info!
Bernard Jensen wrote many books about colon health decades ago. He talked about colon cleansing through juicing and lightly chewing grape seeds to extract a substance on their surface good for colon health.
Fascinating. Thank you for sharing your story.
I take Grape Seed extract per suggested dosage I get from Vitacost online, no side effects. I have Gastropresis and it was suggested, see no benefit or no harm. Dosage might need to be higher. That is a issue with Homeopathic treatment it’s a guessing game as to effective dosage.
Some forms work better than others. Magnesium Oxide is the worst absorbed of the lot, Citrate works best. Mag Ox is good for keeping the bowels loose. Calcium in rock form is useless.
Have had success using vitamin/minerals in reversing OP TO OSTEOPENIA in 6 yrs. The OP drugs are horrible. Where as the OP drugs were so bad I’d end up with A Fib trips to the ER. Foreto has a black box for Bone Cancer.
Aren’t there seeds in many kinds of grapes?
Check with your doctor... this is called for an extract and the comment below is from 2013

That may have been the most common source in the 1970s, but the chemical on which it is based can be obtained through a number of plant seeds/pits - apples, peaches, plums, flax seed, etc.
