Todays Cryptogram
AN CRWVACRT SATHBO NB VFHRCTNKFH SATHBO: NYR OVTAJ AT FBNYAFP AE NYR KVHARFJR AT HRKE. SKMNRC MAUUOKFF
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
I CONSIDER EVERY DRUMMER THAT EVER PLAYED BEFORE ME AN INFLUENCE, IN EVERY WAY. BUDDY RICH
Speak up, I can’t hear you!
90 sec. The first word by inspection, the word ‘the’, turn the crank.
I hit on the 3 letter word after the colon, which gave me the 2 letter words....
This one’s a keeper.
Agreed. EZ.
About 2 minutes. I think I figured out the E first and then the 2 letter words.
I love doing these every day.
It’s kinda recursive, or so I hear.
Whoa, that is a great observation! Kind of in the “pearls before swine” category.
Funny, get some stuff right away, come back after other reading, hit a few more letter and the darn thing just appears.
funny how that happens!!!!
Thank God for Hal’s tool. Would wear out too many erasers doing it on paper.
