early 1989, I was working as a business reporter in Washington, D.C., and interviewing a private investigator for a story about his company. At the end of our conversation, he casually mentioned hed done some research into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Oh yeah? I said, in an ironic, indifferent way. So who killed him? He said: Well, I think this gunsmith in Baltimore, a guy named Howard Donahue, figured it out. The private eye showed me a magazine article from 1977 and as I read it, my skepticism began to fade. Within a week, I was heading to nearby Towson, Maryland, to meet Donahue in person.
Donahues Dealey Plaza odyssey began 21 years earlier. The World War II veteran was a firearms specialist whod testified as an expert witness in multiple shooting cases. He was also a well-known marksman. Thats why hed been recruited to take part in a CBS News reenactment of the shooting in the spring of 1967.
The network wanted to know if Lee Harvey Oswalds Italian military-surplus, bolt-action rifle really could have been fired three times with two hits on a moving target in less than six seconds. Donahue proved that it could. Of the 11 shooters participating in the experiment, only Donahue exceeded Oswalds performance by scoring three hits in 4.8 seconds, well under the 5.6-second maximum....

If you haven’t already done so, I suggest you read Vincent Bugliosi’s book, “Reclaiming History.”
It will change your mind.
That was the first shot which was fired late, when the vehicle appeared into view, surprising Oswald. That shot struck the blacktop behind the vehicle and richocetted, breaking apart, raining bullet fragments in the direction of vehicle. Kennedy was heard to say that he'd been shot, when he most likely was feeling the impact of the bullet fragments in the back of his head. Some of this jacket material struck the inside of the windshield, damaging it (I think Donahue may have photo). Some fragments were found on the floor in front of the front seats.
His evidence of the third shot being from the SS agent and the subsequent bullet fragments in the skull have not been disputed (the fragments in the skull).
I do not believe this is correct. The bullet fragments are most likely from Oswards first shot, as described above. Bullets which strike flesh leave their jacket material within, not on the surface, either at the point of entry or exit.
I'm not privy to any information relevant to a third shot supposedly fired by Oswald..or what was the evidence that supported it.
Donahue argues that the third shot was fired by SSA Hickey in the trailing limo when he instictively clutched his fingers firing the weapon while the limo lurched haltingly at some point after the first two shots.
The book "Mortal Error" by Bonar Menninger documents Donahue's investigative work and subsequent effort to get his theory heard. I do not know if it still in print. It might be available used through amazon. Worth checking out.
Half of jfks brain flew out the front pushing his head first foreword then back. He was hit from behind basic physics and ballistics.
This is the part everyone misses. When they say that test shooters were able to reproduce the same shots within 4.6 seconds, they left out important facts: There were almost a dozen 'expert' shooters that tried, only one was able to do it. And that one tried something like 17 times (WITH a properly adjusted scope?)
If you want a coherent explication of Donahue's theory, then you should read the book.
Interesting... Plus, the expert shooters might’ve been more relaxed and focused in a re-enactment than Oswald might have been in real time.
That’s a cute story, but it’s false.
And yes, I have a degree in physics- I know what I am seeing when I look at the Zapruder film. He is struck from the grassy knoll. Bystanders near the grassy knoll ducked for cover when they heard shots go by overhead. People ran toward the knoll because that is where they heard the shots come from. There was also a fourth shot that hit the thruway overpass. Impossible from the angle Oswald was supposed to be shooting from.
There is a book called “The Men Who Killed Kennedy” - it implicates LBJ and it is very convincing.
A new interview posted by the Daily Mail 11/22/19
In an exclusive interview with DailyMailTV, Gianni Russo, who played Carlo in the Godfather, says Marilyn Monroe could still be alive if not for her ex-husband
Baseball star Joe DiMaggio refused to come pick her up from a resort in Nevada when she pleaded with him just days before she was found dead
The blonde bombshell was at the resort with mobsters who were planning to film her having a threesome with JFK and his brother Bobby
It’s long been rumored that Marilyn had affairs with the brothers
Russo also claims it wasn’t Lee Harvey Oswald who killed JFK, but actually mobster Johnny Roselli who was hiding in a drain
John F Kennedy Jr. was killed 56 years ago on November 22, 1963
The story is plausible, as are many others. We may never know until the Second Coming, when ‘all things become known’...............
Early model, prior to 1964, AR-15’s had ‘problems’.
It wasn’t until 1964 Colt, which had bought the patents from the original manufacturer, ArmaLite [AR stands for ArmaLite Rifle], that some of these problems were fixed. Even then, the AR-15 had problems jamming under heavy use in Vietnam, requiring another design review..............
Funny you should mention that because... The article says the Secret Service stopped using the AR15 soon after JFK's assassination.
Seems a little too coincidental, doesn’t it? lol
