early 1989, I was working as a business reporter in Washington, D.C., and interviewing a private investigator for a story about his company. At the end of our conversation, he casually mentioned hed done some research into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Oh yeah? I said, in an ironic, indifferent way. So who killed him? He said: Well, I think this gunsmith in Baltimore, a guy named Howard Donahue, figured it out. The private eye showed me a magazine article from 1977 and as I read it, my skepticism began to fade. Within a week, I was heading to nearby Towson, Maryland, to meet Donahue in person.
Donahues Dealey Plaza odyssey began 21 years earlier. The World War II veteran was a firearms specialist whod testified as an expert witness in multiple shooting cases. He was also a well-known marksman. Thats why hed been recruited to take part in a CBS News reenactment of the shooting in the spring of 1967.
The network wanted to know if Lee Harvey Oswalds Italian military-surplus, bolt-action rifle really could have been fired three times with two hits on a moving target in less than six seconds. Donahue proved that it could. Of the 11 shooters participating in the experiment, only Donahue exceeded Oswalds performance by scoring three hits in 4.8 seconds, well under the 5.6-second maximum....

Read statement by hickey Nov 23 1963. He said AR 15 in the statement.
Best explanation i've heard is that when people get shot in the head, they sometimes "twitch" or "spasm" violently. I believe years ago I saw some documentary which stated this was the cause of his backward motion.
Besides, entrance and exit holes indicate direction of travel. Little hole for entrance, big hole for exit is the norm.
You winz teh threddz 4ever!
“I stopped reading at that point.”
You should have read the next couple sentences where they came to the exact same conclusion that you did.
Thanks for posting. I took the time to read the entire article. It was long, but the author presented a solid case. Count me as convinced that his theory is plausible. And Epstein didn’t kill himself.
It was an easy shot from that window.
Psst...his code name that day was “Marvin”. Try to keep that a secret for now. Just like the Giant Rat of Sumatra, “a story for which the world is not yet prepared”.
LOL. We could spin this out for hours...
Comic / Magician Penn Gillette could shoot the Rifle Oswald used just as fast, and he wasn’t a Marine Rifleman like Oswald was.
And what did Kennedy know about that book report she copied off of Sally Jenkins?
Then you should have continued reading since it was subsequently discovered that the seat was not located where it was reported in the initial report. But you knew that, didn't you?

You sure about that?????
Donahue studied photos of the presidential limousine and quickly grasped that the jump seat in which Connally rode was actually six inches further inboard and considerably lower than the Warren Commission and virtually everyone else had realized. When the seat was placed in its proper location and the governor positioned as he was when the bullet struck, the trajectory lined up perfectly.
Oswald made the back shot, there is no disputing that. What is at controversy here is that the bullet fragments found in the skull, along with the bullet hole in the back of the skull that is smaller than the diameter of the bullets Oswald shot do not match up with the bullets Oswald was shooting.......
Thanks for reading it. I very seldom post articles but I found this one worth the effort.
Unfortunately by doing so, I'm now put in a position to argue points in the article which have just as much meaning to me as to the people challenging me.........
The only arguments I can offer is to quote what is in the article simply because they never read it.............Whatever....
With that being said, it is a very thought provoking theory............
and only on his 17th attempt
Oswald was the patsy
Yes, I saw that too. I believe that is exactly what happened.
Now that fedgov bungling and actual sedition is taking place so openly, people may be better able to consider the Donohue theory and accept that the Secret Service and other government officials of that time could, indeed, have participated in a cover-up. I have to admit, based on photos of Kennedy’s head wound I have seen in the past, this is the first theory I’ve read that makes sense regarding the trajectories of the shots.
I don't believe the Oswald story. Having said that, I think that this idea is part of the problem that confuses so many people and leads to so many variations of the theories. More specifically what I mean is too much Hollywood and not enough real experience. In a target that is penetrated through there is no or very little ejection at the point of entry, just a hole. On a living target of course there is going to be some bleeding around the entry but the energy drives the explosion out the exit hole. For anything significant to have shot out of the entrance hole then Kennedys head would have to have been made of concrete or be so thick that there was no exit forcing the energy back out the only path available.
In other words, since we assume it was made of normal material and appeared to be of a normal size, the explosion is proof that it didn't come from the front unless the whole thing was a Hollywood hoax.
Balmer ping.
Long, fascinating and detailed article about a Baltimore Irish-American gun forensics expert who put forward a very plausible explanation of who killed JFK, which of course met with disbelief. As I noted upthread, it’s the first theory that has made sense to me.
