An Arizona man pleaded guilty Tuesday in a U.S. court in Nevada to illegally manufacturing tracer and armor-piercing bullets found in a hotel room where a gunman carried out the Las Vegas Strip massacre two years ago.
Douglas Haig, 57, was not accused of a direct role in the Oct. 1, 2017, shooting that killed 58 people and injured more than 850 at an open-air music festival. Prosecutors never alleged that he had advance knowledge of the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
Doug had no indication whatsoever about Stephen Paddocks plans, defense attorney Marc Victor said, invoking the name of the shooter during a prepared statement outside U.S. District Court in Las Vegas. Haig declined to comment.

If its as you say then it mustve been handgun ammo then (for getting out afterwards?)

Still have seen NO proof that Pollack was the shooter
On review, I think it was simply manufacture of ammo for sale.
To make and sell any ammo, you need an FFL, which is simply a matter of paying a fee and filling out a form.
The guy’s life is ruined for not paying taxes.
Stupid.
Also, vindictive on the part of the prosecutors.
Investigators theorized that Paddock may have sought notoriety but said they never determined a clear motive.
Proof:
Haig told investigators that Paddock went to his car to get gloves and put them on before accepting the purchase.
Yep. M855 ammo is technically not AP. Instead it is determined to have “enhanced penetration”. Legally only AP designed for use in handguns is outlawed. But the ATF has ruled that if ANY handgun can accept a round designed for a rifle, it is a handgun round. The exception is that it is still legal to sell .30-06 AP surplus.
"Hand over the dam money you 35 year old who still thinks our crap is cool! Watch Star Wars and Marvel crap and shut the hell up!"
“Huh-huh!”
“Go out and make me some ______ money.”
On top of that IF the leaked photo was allowed as evidence there are other major discrepancies the autopsy missed.
Pretty sure “black tip” is still legal to reload in 30-06, but not .308 Win or 7.62x51.
Since our republic has morphed into a banana republic police state where unelected bureaucrats write “regulations” for violating which we can be fined or imprisoned, it is slowing dawning on people that regulations and laws now mean what those enforcing them want them to mean at any given time.
Arrest the man and then decide on his crime.
We now have approximately half of the the population thinking it’s a good idea to use focus groups to pick the most most sellible charge and then manufacture the evidence to fit that charge.
What’s an illegal act in the world of firearms? Whatever they want it to be. And they don’t give a damn what the courts say because by that time they have already destroyed their target. May as well delete the word accountability from the dictionary.
There is an exception for .30-06 M2 AP. But I don’t know of anyone manufacturing it. The question is can it still be considered M2 AP if it is not manufactured for the military?
I think there are people that pull the M2AP bullets and sell them. To the best of my knowledge, you can reload them into 30-06, but not .308 Win. I would think the accuracy is poor, so why bother? Don’t know the current ins and outs, but I don’t need to....
