Wow. He was offered the position of Defense Minister. That’s pretty impressive. But it does lead to one question. Why? I suppose there are two possible explanations.
1. The Ukraine thought a mere lieutenant colonel is qualified to be a defense minister.
2. The Ukraine thought Vindman could be manipulated through flattery.
Hmm. I wonder which one it is.

Certainly the Ukrainians would be aware that they could be compromising Vindman’s security clearance, at the least.
Why did the Ukrainians keep asking? Three times?
I would enjoy hearing a Congressman ask him how many times he fired his rifle in combat.
I once heard that American pilots born in Russia or with a wife born there could not have bomber overflight assignments within a zone near there.
In case of a war declaration they might hesitate to drop the nuclear bombs.

The Ukrainians knew from the get-go that Vindman would not be able to take the offer. I think it was an attempt to flatter and manipulate him. Geez Vindy, you’re such a great guy. Please consider being our defense minister. Because you’re such a great guy.
By the way, there’s a few little things we need your help on.

So Vindman is brilliant? Seems more like a leaker with an ego. I would surmise that he regularly feeds his MSM pals stuff that undermines Trump.
