Today’s Cryptogram

Today’s Cryptogram

From the Arkansas Gazette

QNBINBI NQ T OTL PD JQUTXNBI. NG’Q TBPGSJZ OPZME. N’Y BP MPBIJZ PB JTZGS. —JENGS XNTD

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Verb and article give up most of the first sentence. Contractions, and fill in the blanks. Is that 2 recent quotes with ABCDBCD?

1 min. 1st word of second sentence (contraction), third word (one letter), 4th word, off to the races.

Guess it is a musicians trait.

Notice a lot of them seem to get a lost look in their eyes like they are in another universe....

IMNSHO, that makes more sense AFTER the puzzle is completed.

Does a ‘caged bird’ sing to its fullest ability?

Or does it take the ability to fly away make the bird more melodic??? (Or something like that)...<: <: <:

xrmusn - Thank you for understanding my not-meant-to-be-an-obvious-spoiler reference, too late as it was. (Excuse the overuse of hyphens.)

Nikos - the author of that quote has that bird’s nickname... I could have added a picture of Moulin Rouge, Place Pigalle,... to make it more obvious, but we try to avoid that, after all.

Your ‘tag line’ is a dead giveaway.... Also your home page disclaimer.

Being somewhat of a sardonic/sarcastic (In a ‘good way’) person myself.
