“You really dont need eat a lot of meat, though. Basically a cut of meat the size of a deck of cards will do, although I usually do go beyond that. I eat a lot more vegetables than ever since Ive gone Keto.”
Good point, although it’s my understanding that if you do try to minimize meat to that extent, you’ll want the meat you do eat to be red meat, with plenty of fat content.
But also keep in mind that your meat consumption level is greater than zero, and thus still too high for the Left.
“please add me to your Low-Carb ping list ... thanks ...”
Done!
This is what I've heard. Always try to get Grass-Finished (not just Grass-Fed, since it's still usually finished with Grain). Generally I go to Whole Foods, because that's where I know they have certified Grass-Finished Beef.
If you don't get Grass-Finished Beef, then you want to get Leaner cuts of Beef, and add in the Fat during cooking (use Beef Tallow, that's grass-fed), because the Fats may contain the chemicals in the grain the cows ate.

I like that approach - either get the right meat, or get other meat, and make it right!
“Sorry, but 2 pounds of fat per day isnt right”
Correct. The body loses MORE THAN 2 pounds of fat per day. It will lose 2.5 lbs per day. Sustained.
Those are not my numbers. Those come from the Doctor’s book, The Obesity Code. This is the Doctor who cures Type II diabetes in 2 weeks. I trust his numbers. We talk. He does. He gets results.
Day 2 lose 1.5 lbs
Day 3 lose 2.0 lbs
Day 4, 5 ... lose 2.5 lbs per day
Calories In Calories Out is a myth.
Exercise to lose weight is a myth.
Excercise is REQUIRED for good health, but is a terrible way to lose weight.
The reason day 3,4,5 ... fasting works so well, is that metabolism increases without food, not decrease. The opposite happens. The body goes into, let’s burn fat fast mode. So I use that new feature.
And it is safe. Unless you are a Coca Cola advertiser selling sugar lies.
When early man walked the plains hunting or scrounging for food, in fasting mode, which is not starvation mode, when hunting, MORE energy is created without food not less.
That gives the body a greater chance to find food. Early man could go a month or so without food, just seeking.
Fasting is a social problem. Everybody ELSE wants you to eat. So they break the fast, not you.
But a 5 or 7 day fast is awesome. 2.5 lbs lost per day.
Since I learned how the body fasts, I never worry about being overweight again. A simple fast cures it.
Yes, it is that easy.
Agreed.
I am heavy so that might be why but i lost 10 pounds with each 3 days fast.
all 30 pounds have been kept off for six months.
can’t get lower and lost the will power for the 3 day fast :(
have to find it. have too much weight to go
Sagging skin is a myth. The body burns the skin.
Just fast as much as you can.

I guess we’ll have our differences, although I’d likely be dead by now if I lost 2.5 lbs per day from fasting over last summer (44 days fasting out of 48 days in one run, with a starting weight under 200 lbs.), but then my metabolism might be different than others. For me, it comes out to 0.67 pounds per day, as I counted every calorie during that interval.
Personally, I like the slower rate, then if the Left wins power and I’m forced to go for a month without eating, I’ll survive (dropping only 20 lbs.), while everyone else who’s not obese keels over after dropping 75 lbs.
That’s probably about right in weight lost, but again, that is in good part water weight loss when shifting out of carbs in reserve.
Please add me to the list.
It is done!
There could be a difference between absolute fasting and partial fasting. Partial fasting, intermittent, the wiser method, is longer term, but the first time sugar is eaten, insulin kicks in, and rapid weight loss resets back to moderate.
Then it takes 1 to 3 days to kick back into more rapid. Keytone strips that test urine, clearly show a big diffence between 1 day vs 3 or 4 day fasting.
Good idea. I will integrate this into my next test.
Recheck the weight 1 or 2 days after, measure water input, and see how much water the body holds.
But 2.5 lbs lost per day is the Doctor’s number, not mine, and for me it appears rapid.
But a water retention check next time is a good idea. Thanks.
We carry relatively more water weight whenever we are on a regular carb diet. So when you empty out your carbs store, you tend to drop some of that.
Yea, I don’t know what to make of it, other than a possible miscommunication. Obviously I agree that the first few days of fasting results in a very quick weight loss. In fact, for me, if I eat (a lot) for dinner Monday and then start fasting, weigh myself Tuesday morning, and then Wednesday morning, I’ll drop 4.5 pounds in that one day interval. I figure most of it is the food getting further processed in my tummy, which requires a bunch of water.
But for long term, starting after 2 days of fasting I hit that 0.67 pound per day rate, and hold at that level (although with ups and downs...but the average always holds).
Anyway, no big deal, just don’t get hopes too high regarding the speed of weight loss from fasting alone. Even so, fasting is great for health, and it certainly works for weight loss! After all, it HAS to work for weight loss.
I’ve been one of the lucky ones I guess, I weigh a pound less than when I was playing baseball in college. I eat plenty of pasta (Italian wife, thank you) but I have always continued with one day of running/one day of lifting and I’ll be 63 in the spring. I will say that there is no way in hell that I could go from Sunday night till breakfast Tuesday without eating.
I haven’t been totally immune to aging, even though my weight is the same my waist is 5 inches bigger! I’m still at 13% body fat, but in my athletic prime I was as low as 5% and of course my bench press is down by about 75 pounds, lol!
Anyone on this ping list familiar with, being on the keto diet and having epilepsy and/or ulcerative colitis?
Or we could eat the liberals and kill two birds with one menu. =)
Please add me - THANK YOU!!
