Box Office: 'Terminator: Dark Fate' Bombs With $29M U.S. Debut

Talk about complete concept rejection.
Skydance, Fox and Paramount's Terminator: Dark Fate reboot hoping to revive the franchise after three failed attempts bombed in its domestic box office debut with $29 million from 4,086 theaters, well behind expectations.
Not even the return of James Cameron in the producer's chair and original series stars Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger could spark interest among many fans and the general moviegoing public.
Nor is the movie likely to be rescued by the foreign box office, where it finished Sunday with a foreign tally of $94.6 million, including a lackluster China debut of $28 million, and global total of $123.6 million.
A direct sequel to Cameron's Terminator: Judgment Day (1991), the R-rated Dark Fate is directed by Deadpool helmer Tim Miller and cost a hefty $185 million to produce before marketing. Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta also star.

All they had to do was cast Skynet as a small male child.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to affect, but actually, from a non-linier, non subjective point of view it is more like a big ball of wibbily wobbly timey wimey...stuff.

Cameron was, “Woke,” a long time ago.
There was an unused line from Sarah Connor in Terminator 2 that went...
“Did you know every gun ever invented is named after a man?”
UGH!!

Androids don’t age. Terminators don’t turn into politically wimpy woke lesbian-looking old men with droopy moobs.

Question:
When the tabloids report a movie or play "bombing," what exactly does that mean in terms of who got screwed?
The director, producer and writers got paid up front (?).
The actors got paid up front (?).
The investors have, probably by now, recouped any losses they may suffer and may be reluctant to spend their money on more SJW farce, again (maybe).
The movie theaters just raise the snack prices and movie ticket prices.
The craft service table is still not a barren wasteland for the next movie.
So who actually suffers when a movie bombs?

Did you know every gun ever invented is named after a man? Funny but most named guns I know of were named after women.

Who wouldn’t want to watch a bunch unattractive androgynous females taking over a franchise? Apparently everyone.

Who knew Skynet would be killed off, not by John Conner, but by lesbians. I haven't seen the movie, so maybe I shouldn't ask because it will be a spoiler. But, Laz, I can't help but ask: "How did they do it?"
Did saliva create a short-circuit?
Skynet sends so many Terminators back in time that there’s none left in the future. No wonder they lose the war!

Why wait? The are numerous streaming services out there and if you don’t mine seeing a film recorded by someone’s camera you can see it free and withing a week of its box office debut. Waiting until the DVD comes out is an option, but still free.
