Have you seen this term floating around? Latinx is supposed to be a gender-neutral version of Latino/Latina. Its supposedly more inclusive because it doesnt separate people into the now forbidden binary categories of men or women, so it has been championed by the woke left. But it turns out Latinos/Hispanics dont really like it very much. A survey carried out by progressive data analysts found that only 2 percent of Hispanic people actually prefer that term:

LOL!
You could use neuter endings, if you don’t mind mangling the language. The cultural left is okay with mangling language.
All the icons of English literature would be assigned to the Memory Hole or disfigured beyond any worth.
Then there's "African-Americans" for people who have never been anywhere close to Africa and probably couldn't even find it on a map.
And the utterly meaningless "people of color ..."
You are so right. Trying to twist Spanish to suit poorly educated English-speaking liberals is culturally tone-def.
Also correct about Russian patronymics ... in polite company, for instance if Hubs were a teacher or business colleague he would be Hubs Dad-ovich and SIL would Sis Dad-ovna.
So who died and made English-speaking mono-lingual liberals the Queens of grammar?
In other words; in Spanish woke = stupido idioso.
I thought we were all supposed to be speaking Esperonto by now.
Not content with mangling the English language with made-up pronouns such as “zhe” the loony Left now turns its attention to America’s second most spoken language: Spanish. I have spent a year in Argentina, speaking only Spanish the whole time, and I can’t think of a single Spanish word that has the letter ‘x’ in it apart from foreign words that have been imported. ‘X’ is an alien sound to the Spanish-speaking tongue and will be rejected by the majority of Spanish-speakers.
I would pay good money to see one of these “woke” leftists trying to get an Italian-speaker to say “Latinx”. Italian doesn’t even have the letter ‘x’! Instead the ‘x’ is replaced with a ‘ss’ so the name “Alexander” becomes “Alessandro”.
A Spanish-language Distro of Unix ???
Whenever I see the made-up word “Latinx”, it makes me think of Tinker Bell. Tink-Tink-Tink.
Good one!
It’s the former, I’ve heard it spoken (I didn’t know Orangutans could speak, amazing).
