Frankly ALL of these fires out here are suspicious to me, with these winds it just apes ONE fricking lunes tune to start a spark!!! With ALL of the utility wires being shut down there should be no reason for these fires!!!

I agree. I also heard on John & Ken yesterday that PG&E shut off the transmission lines, but did NOT shut off the main line.
They also said that 2 100year old blown transformers were the cause of 2 fires last year. Failed CA leadership in requiring maintenance, if you ask me.
The recent Getty Fire was started near a 405 underpass. Well, that would be home to many vagrants who are allowed open flame cooking. Garcetti always tries to blame the deep pocketed utilities. Yes, the utilities have much of the blame, but bums living on the streets & around brush do too.

I hesitate to post this...I’ll come clean. I wasn’t happy about jury duty especially during the icy winter cold. So I put on my questionnaire that I was prejudice because if the person on trail was former military I wouldn’t charge him/her as guilty. It didn’t keep me off having to go...lol.

And of course Newsom is asking for Federal Funds as he blames Trump for not believing in Climate Change.
Even if it WAS Climate Change NOT managing the forests and other ground cover has more to do with why the fires are so bad.
You live out there, are things climate wise much different from years ago?
The only thing I can see has happened here is we don’t get as much snow which used to be TONS.
But I feel it is more a cyclical thing.
