Windows 10 could be better if only Microsoft got rid of its layers of made-men, according to a former Microsoft distinguished engineer.
Tired of boring, buggy Windows 10 updates? You can blame them on Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's failure to eliminate the company's legacy of appointing "made-men".

Never, never trust anyone who refers to men as "males". Never.
“Next computer is Linux for sure.”

Don’t need to wait, you can have both - in one PC - via “dual booting”. For example -

(I’ve done it with most PCs I’ve had.)
Sure, but what system doesn’t? iOS, Linux, Android?
This is the horror story I want to avoid. I guess I can keep my Win 7 PC (ghosting the OS partition for backup) for anything other than Internet access.
>>White men. This wouldnt happen if you had diversity.
Indeed, because people hired purely to meet affirmative action quotas NEVER write buggy code.
I'm on your side, not fan boy's.
I am STILL trying to get a workable version of Win10 on my tablet.
Luckily, I made some Macrium Reflect images at various states of ‘good’ versions. Version 1803 worked pretty good and the latest updates made it fast loading and using.
Then 1903 came along. It has been a nightmare. I did manage to get a couple of images when it seemed to be working. Then, the next update caused crashes and reboots. Even the 1903 images would not work.
I finally returned to 1803. Which worked. Now, currently, 12:50 pm CT, the tablet is trying again to get a workable version of 1903 installed.
I just hope my Win7 laptop and desktop last a long time. I turned off auto updates on them several years ago. I still get ‘critical updates’ and occasionally have to do a System Restore.
I do have a Linux Mint 18-03 laptop. It has its own set of problems and peculiarities.
I haven’t had a big problem recently.
Windows 10 is still awful when it comes to updates slowing my machine to a crawl and overheating it.
Someone needs to teach the Indian programmers about buffering typed characters.
You’re one in a million.
Pffttt!!! Made men? Name names, list specific problems.
Either you agree that it is buggy bloatware, whatever that is, or YOU are a FANBOY! A fanboy is not a good thing to be, for some reason which has to do with not agreeing.
I do not have Internet service at home.
Why? Because I’m not going to deal with Comcast.
Don’t hold my computer hostage by having Word insist on accessing the Internet.
I went Linux Mint with an old computer with a bad hard drive. The only problem I have with it is it won’t print from pdf.

P.S. It runs 5-10 times as fast as Windows 10.
If you get that from my one post
You definitely don’t.
Why did they break things that were working?
The invisible scroll bars that appear only when you move the mouse cursor over them, and then your cursor is not in the right spot.
Copying a folder to another, in which there is a file name duplicated in the source folder and the destination folder. Win 7 dialogue showed you the date/time and size of both files and told you which was newer or bigger. You then decided what to do. One click. Win 10, it tells you that there is a file with the same name, but gives you no information! If you click to get that information, it is not intuitive. They broke something that was perfectly OK!
Plus, I can’t find a way to disable the trackpad when a mouse is plugged in. Windows help is wrong. Very annoying.
All in all, Win 10 is a step backwards. Why do you do these things, Microsoft?
“Never had a problem with Win 10, ever.”
Youve never turned your Windows 10 computer on and had to wait for it to update before you could use it?
“Sure, but what system doesnt? iOS, Linux, Android?”
Linux doesn’t. Not being able to use your computer when you want to really is a problem, even if you claim it isn’t for you.
Not at all.
