Dennis Quaid is getting married again.
The 65-year-old actor confirmed to "Extra" that he proposed to his girlfriend, 26-year-old Laura Savoie, at Turtle Bay, Oahu, in Hawaii.
“I had the ring in my pocket. It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan — I wanted it to be private,” Quaid said. “She was actually taking a selfie of us, and I put the ring in front and said, ‘Will you marry me?’ And then she fell down."
"It was kind of spontaneous. It was very much a surprise," he said.
People reported that the two have been dating for several months now. Quaid was spotted with Savoie, a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas, as early as May, according to the publication.
This will be the fourth marriage for Quaid, who was previously married to real estate broker Kimberly Buffington. The two married in 2004 and are parents to 11-year-old twins, Thomas and Zoe. They separated in 2016. Their divorce waBuffingtons finalized in 2018.

To be fair, she’s a PhD candidate so taking care of herself financially is not really an issue.

I workout at Crossfit and the younger guys there tell me that their young friends (males) are in awful shape and furthermore have no--zero--interest in getting in shape.
For the life of me I can't understand why ALL guys wouldn't want to be in good shape.

Yep, he’s in his 60’s, 30 mil in the bank, working out and still needs to get some a few times a week. If he is on T replacement he may need to get some 2-3 times a day. She keeps him happy and in return she marries more money in a day than she could possible earn in a lifetime. When he finally dies at 80 or so she will have some decent contacts through him and a nice bank account to bring to the table so she’s moves up the social ladder.
She isn’t just marrying his money, she is marrying his famous actor’s lifestyle. That is more exciting than just a checking account.
